Asir. B. Packard appeared before the council in regard to reductio,~ of
fire hazards in the dowry-town section, by eliminating the 3.ta'cinerators now
located in the alleys, ~1so would like to eliminate all. ir~cinerato,rs in
the residential districts. Ike reported ghat the F`ir~ D~par~ment would. be
availab3.e to wash dowtx t~.e ~iiai~ streets ~~~,ut once per month, and~ytYa.at it might be possible that the Corn~e,~e al ~%lub would be induced to pay for
this service, if praperl~ apprc~aahed.
