Lyle I3.urlbert appeared before the council in regard. to repairing the unle~sed buildings at F~iv~rside dark, and convertini~ them into apartments making thy; cabins 1iv~able, and g~n~r~11~ improving the grounds, and acting as car~tak~r of the 'ark. He stated that he wQU1d do all the nec~ssar~ work. at no cast ~o the City, if the City would furnish the materials that would be needed. ~ou1d want the use of the Dance hall for dances twice a meek, It was moved by Rodgers and sesco~aded by ~~old .that NIr. The report of the Water ~ommission~r in regard to putting meters in the business section of the pity not now being metered was presented end read. The report of the City Engineer for the month of January was pr~scnted and read, h~ reported the cost of th~r ~?~t~.r line Qn Washington Avenue as ~22.4~ per lot, and the cost of the 2'~ line on Montana Avenue at 23.9 per lot. It was moved by Filson and seconded by Parlor, that the report be accepted, and a refund ~iv~r~ to the property oaun~rs that paid cash for their water 1in~. Tt was moved by ~'arker and seconded by ~+ilson that xeso].ution No. 631, be passed and adopted. It was moved by VVold and seconded by Hc>d~~rs the permit be ~rantcd. ~'he motion carried. by Jacob Batt ~n application for a p~r~~it~to build an 1X24 frame house, with eoncrete~ foundation on 1ot9 ll and 12, Block 1~, Laurel ~tealt~ 2nd Subdivision, was pres~nt~d and read. It vas moved b~ Filson, and seconded b;yr Feuerbach~r ~~e permit be granted. The motion Carried. An ap~;lication for a pc,rmit by Clay GrE~ning to build a 3~x3~ house of lobs, with concrete foundation, on south ha~.t~' of lot l7 and lot 1~, in block 25 Laur~1 Kea1~Gy 2nd Subdivision was presented and read.
