Tuesda~r July .5th, 1947, Upon ro11 call the following aldermen answered, present. xodgers Freeburg Parker Feuerbacher ~'ome ~ The minutes of the last meeting were presented and read.. It vas moved by comer and seconded by Parker the minutes be appro~red, 'die motion e arried. Representatives of the Gre~rhound and Burlington Buy .Ines appeared before the council regarding parking space on the Venue seat of the Nevi Yellowstone Ho~~l. No action w as taken a t this time, pending authoriz~t3.on from their respective horrr~ officer, in regard ~ o rant ink; parking space. This being the time for opening bids for the ~a1e of pity property, the City ~1erk presented proof of publication in the Laurel Out~~~i€~~~ One bid in tha mount of X327 by Guy Stormont, was received, for a pie~e~~~f land described a~ f'ollowa Beginning at a point 40 feet south of N,W, corner of section 76 , ~ovun~hip 2, 5outh~ Range 24 ~ast~ ~i,P.M,, thence 'mast 59° to point af' beginning, t~,c~~~e East 90~ thence youth 1.300 thence ~fiest 55~ thence. N. 5~° 3~~ hest X9.0 fe~~SG thence Noo~th 104,0 feet to point of beginning. containing 0.25 acres more o r less, It was moved by Parker and seconded by r~reebury that the bid be accepted ~ and the Mayor and City clerk be authorized to sign the conveyance of ~it1e. 'he mot3.on carried. .fin application for a permit by Guy Stormont, to build a 40x40 concrete Block machine shops on concrete fotandation, flat roof, with sheet shingles, ors piece cif land above described, at an approximate coat of X3000 was presented. It was moved by ~'arker and see~nded bg; F'euerbach~r, the. permit 1~ granted. 'j'l~e motion carried. M, J. Harr~~son appeared before the Council. in regard ~o payment of claim in the amount of X48, for work dane~ on d raiza ditch in front of his property. It was move by Parker and seconded by ~~euerbaeher the claim be settled on a basis of 9~~! per hoar , The mot ion carried. Mr, Joe Brohau~h appeared before the ~ouneil in regt~rd to the purchase of 2 pieces of 14x4 channel iron ors hand at the Sewage llispo~al Plant, and stated. that he would p~traehase such iron .for 54¢~ per foot. letter from Mr9. ~anderob, of Hunt~.ey, thanking the Council and Mayor for co-operation in rental of ~'iterside Park for the Farmers Union w as presented a~ad read. The letter was placed on file. statement from ~herrow Service '~tatioi~~ for ref ur~d of tax on tires, purcha sad by the City, was presented. It was moved by Freeburg and seconde~.by ~'QUerbacher the refund of tax be ap~r oved. The mot 3,on G arried. letter from the office of the County assessor, to the I~a~ror, in which t~Yie '~ax~ble Value of the pity was liven a s ~815,338~ was presented. Thy letter was placed on file. RESOLUTION N0. 651 Heso~ution Igo. 651, being a r~so~.ution t ransferring certain- #'tands of the City o~ 3.aurel, eras presented anal read. St was moved by Rod~er~ and seconded by Feuerbacher-that Resolution No. 651 be adapted. Upon roll call €~11 aldermen pre~~ voted "Aye's and said resolution w as declared passed and adopted, ORDIN~.i~'CE N4. 397 Ordinance No. 397 relating to the compensation of the Health Officer uv a~ presented and read, I~ was moved. by Parker and seconded by Hod~ers that ordinance No. 39'7 be prouision~~.1.y passed and adopted. It was moved by homer anc~ seconded by Feuerbacher ordinance No. 398 be prov~.sianally passed and adopted. Upota ro11 ca11 a11. alderx~ men present voted 'iAye~" and said ordinance was declared passed and adopted.
