The pity council of the City of Laurel met ~n regular session in the Council
chamber and was called to order bg ~'layor Thomson at 7:3D o~clock P. M. 2'uesday
June 3, 134'7 .

Jerry Gass ~r•, appeared before the council in regard to placing a shop a
shining chair stand on the street in front of Nays P.X. Tt was moved by ~'arker
and seconded by V~o1d the matter be referred to the street end Police Committee
with authority to act . The mot ion c arried.
PJ'r. R. Packard appeared before the council in regard to the ~,mer3_can Legio ~:nd ~`uxiliary leasing the building at nis.,erside parks ~nawn as the Bath douse.
It was moored by nod~ers and seconded b5 ~~o1d that if the build ing can be relea9ed
from "~r. McKinney, the ~r~~eric~n Legion be granted a lease on same. {i~he motion
carried.
~j'his being the time set ~`or opening bids for a carload of ipe, the pity ~1e~k presented proof of publication in the Laurel Qutlook and was instructed to
open and read X11 bids. One bid t,~vas received f'resm t?~.e American fast Iron Pike Co„
of Minneapolis, with the f'o11.8w~ng prices;

amount of ~p2,000, given in connection with bid on ~wimmiz~~ Pool fonds in July

A report bg ~'lderman Feuerbac? er, chairman of the sewer ~'ommittee, on the
number of ail traps needed by users oi' the Sewage '~isposal System was given in
which. he stated the t it would be~lnecessary for 24 traps to be installed in the
dif'f'erent businessl places.
