A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. R21-
130 TO ALLOW UPCHARGE TO BID WITH SWS EQUIPMENT, LLC FOR THE
PURCHASE OF A ROLL -OFF CONTAINER TRUCK FOR THE CITY OF
LAUREL'S PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Laurel City Council approved the bid for the purchase by the
City of Laurel (hereinafter "the City") of a roll -off container truck from SWS Equipment, LLC
(hereinafter "SWS Equipment") on December 28, 2021;
WHEREAS, SWS Equipment has submitted a gearbox upcharge to the City in the
amount of Four Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars and No Cents ($4,800.00); and
WHEREAS, the City has the funds to approve and pay for the proposed gearbox
upcharge.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Laurel,
Montana,
Section 1: Approval. The gearbox upcharge to the City's contract with SWS
Equipment in the amount of Four Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars and No Cents ($4,800.00)
is hereby approved.
Section 2: Execution. The Mayor is hereby given authority to execute any and all
related documents to approve the gearbox upcharge.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 28"' day of February, 2023,

PASSED and APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Laurel the 28th day of
February, 2023.

Good morning Matt I need to confirm that you are in agreement with the gearbox upcharge of $4,800.00 for your new
A&A Hoist with the Freightliner chassis. A&A's current supplier is out of gearboxes and will not be able to fill orders until
mid 2023. A&A owner Chris Mcfall was able to secure new gearboxes with SAI out of Linwood PA. This brand with be
very close to a direct fit to replace the Auburn Boxes
