The ~itg~ council of the City of Laurel met in re~al~r ~esaio~a in the Council
chamber and way ca7.led to order by Mayor 1`hom~on at 8r3~ olclQek P. a2, Tuesday
July 6th, 1948.
Upon roll call the following aJ.dermen ansv~ered present;.

The minutes of the Est meeting were read, It was moved b~ Pamker at~d seeond~
by smith the mina ~es be approved.
R. J. Harris Jr., appes~red before the ~ou~~i1 in regard. to sel~.ing c rushed
gravel to the City. No a ction west taken by the ~ouneil.
l~r. & &~rs. vintoM Gregg appeared before the ~oancil in regard to p].~cing a
trailer house, taken off the wrests, resting on either concrete blocks or ~ concrete four~3atiota~ and attached to house on Lots 3 & 4~ B1ock 11~ Netting Sub.,
It was moved by Parker atad seconded by ?fold a temporary permit for 6 months be
given Mr. Gregg, for such an addition, The motion carried.
Mr. ~~ilco.x appeared before the ~oatacil. in regard to budgeting of insurance.
It was moved b~ Parker and seconded by hodgers the insurance discontinued by
Schessler be equally dividided between Fenton and '~j.lliams. T3~<e motion carted.

writing of Fire Insurance was presented and read. jhe letter was placed on file.

Marcure for Beer end Liquor Licenses be br~~ted. The motion carried.
