The City Cc~unciJ. ofthe City of Laurel met in regular session in the
~ounci 1 Chamber and in the absence of Dr ayor Thomson, the meeting was ca 11ed
to order by x7d erman Parker, President of tha Ca~ancil, at 7T~3f O~c lock p. M.

The minutes of the last meeting were presented. Tt wa9 moved an€3
seconded the minutes be approved. The motion carried.
It was moved by l~ubinan ~ nd seconded by ~''reebury tha t a warrant in the
amount of ~4~~ be drawn for the Heanaining County late on Eighth avenue, to b~
used in connection witha Flood control ditch at the hest City Limits. the
motion carried.
Mr. D. W. Wilcox appeared before the counei~. in regard to t;he insurance schedule on the Park buildings. It was moved by Rodgers and seconded by
rreebury the City approve the insurance coverage as presented by dlr. Silcox.
The motion carried.
The letter of the City Ei~inser was taken up at this time, end it w as
moved by `comer and secon~.ed by reebury that a raise of X75 per ma nth be give~a
the Engineer, effective April 1st. ~'he motion carried.
The ~iea~lth Officerts repgrt for the month of Lpri1 was presented. It v~~s
moved by with and seconded by comer the report be a~.~proned. 1'he motion carried.
The ~rea~urerts report for the month of C~pril was presented. It was
moved by Rodgers and seconded by Smith the report be approved, The mat ion corr. ied
The tRater report f'or the month of April was presented. It was moved by
~'euerbacher and seconded by smith the report be appro~red. The motion c arried.
The Mayor a pointed the following ~`ldermer~, ~o1d, Rodgers, ~'euerbacher,
Uomer, Parker anel ~ity Attorney Price, to meet with R~r. ~tiilcoA and the Insurance agents for a break-down of percentage of premiams on policies to be written.
Zhe application of Mrs. dice Britton for caretaker of the fading Pool ~t
North Park was presented. It was moved by r'reebury end seconded b~ Feuerbacher
the applicati~ be approved ~r~d ~r1rs. Britton be appointed. The motion carried.
The Bond of the Police Chief was presented. It was moved by Smith and seconded by Tubrnan the bond be approved, subject to the approval of the Cit~r
Attorney. `lhe motion carried.
Z'he Clerks report for the month of ~gpril wtzs presented. It was moved by
Rodgers and aeoanded by reuerbacher the report be approved. `he motion c arr. ied.
Itwas moved b~ Rodgers and seconded by Tubman that a Resolution be made for increasing the Street budget in the amount of ~2,~~~. The .motion carried.
It was moved by lubman and seconded by nodgers the pity Clerk notify- 2~. W.

house, and temporary building have run out, and that they~willvh~ve~t o s tats
their intentions in regard to this matter. 1'he motion carried.

alley committee investigate the harking of autos and trucks on ,gilder ~~venue and bring in recommendations relieving t?~e present situation, at the next coancil
mF~etin~. The motion car=ried.

concrete driveway at the Gas Go-c~p property ota Lots 1 & 2, Block, 4~ Laurel Re~lty~
at an a~pr~~simate cost of ~2~~! was presented. It was moved by l~ubman a.nd s~aconde by Feuerb~ch~r the permit be ~r~nted. The motion carried.
~n application for a permit by the standard ail station to replace sign ~t
219 Main, to dig hole for concrete base for new sign, was presented. It was
moved by kodgers and seconded by Sm~.th the permit be granted. The motion carried.
~n application for a permit by Ed ~tonnie to build sty add it iota 1x16 of new lumber on concrete foundation on Lots 1 & 2, ~'~ock 1, Park subdivision, at ~n
approximate cost of ~7~0 was presented. It was moved b9 ~~odgere and seconded by
Feuerbache~e the permit be grantee. The motion carried.

on bricks and si11s, of used l~.amber on Lota S} 2 and Lot 3, flock 6, Yellowstone

presented and read.
It wa~moved by rreebury and seconded by Smith ~ claim of k. J. illi~ms
& ion in the amount of X634.46 be held up until the meeting in regard to insurance
is discussed. ~'he motion carried.
It was moved bg Gomer and seconded by smith the matter of buying hose for
the parks be referred to the Dark committee. 1'he rno~Gion carried.
It was moved by t' reebury and seconded'.^y ~ubman the Fire chief be c on~u~.ted
and the Fire & Police committee make study of needs for fire extinguishers i certaita of the City Buildings, and bring in recemmendation~ for type and size
neces~~ry, the motiota carried.
