The ~'~.ty Council of the Gitg of Laurel met in r egular s~essi on ita the council
Chamber and was called to order b~T ~'ayor rl'homson at 7:3. Otclock P. M. Monday

z'he minutes of ~r~e last meeting were presented. rt waa moved by Feuerb~cher
end seconded by smith the minutes be approved as read. 1`he motion carried.
fir. x. ~ezdak appeared before the `'ouncil in regard to t ime of closing of
a dance to be held bar the A~ioose at the add Fellows hill May 22nd. `j'he Coulacil
informed him that the 12 P. ~N. curfew on dancing did not a~p1y where liquor
was not sold.
The Libr~r re ort for the month of y p ~pri 1 ova s pre sent ed. It was moved by ~Nold and seconded by Feuerbacher tha report be approved. 'he motion carried.
The Police reports for the month of April were presented. It was moved by
~euerba~h.er and seconded by Rodgers the reports be axeproved. The motion carried.
The Police Judge report for the month of Apr it was pre sent ed. It was moved
by Smith and seconded by Hod.gers the report be appro~~ed. The. motion carried.

6x24 feet, frame, an concrete foct~z~atic~n on Lots 19 & 29, ~loek 1, Estate]. Heig~~t~
Subdivision, at an approximate cost of ~1,~~7~ was presented. It was moved by~
~Uo1d and seconded b;~ ~'reebury the permit be granted. `j'he motion carried.
An application Por a permit bg the Laurel `'ecurity ~o., to build a storage roam of brick and concrete, sire 3x30, on Lot 8,. dock 1, Laurel Rea~.ty Sub.,
at an s~pproximate cost of ~12a~3 was presented. It was moved by ~~old and seed~ded'
by ~euerbacher the permit be granted. The motion carried.
~'n application f'or a permit by George Blackford to build a 23A34 frame
house of new and used lumber on concrete foundation nn Lots 15 16, Block 4, Laurel Heights Subdivision, ~t ata approximate cost of ~42f3E~ was presented. It
was moved by rreebury and seconded by tzodgers the pewit be granted. ~l'he
motion carried.
An application for s permit by yam ~e France to build a 23x24 frame house on
canere~e foundation on Lots 12 & 13, ~1ock 18, Nuttita~; Sub., at an approximate cost of ~35~~ was presented. It was moved by hod~ers and seconded by ~"euerbacher
the permit be granted. The motion carried.
letter from the ~lon~ana Municipal League giving dates of annual Convention
to be held in Kalispell was presented. It was moved by told end seconded by
Smith that the ~%ity send 2 members to the meeting, preferably the Mayor and
~h~irman of the Finanee Com~nittes, at the ~ity~s expense, end that the City reimburse such members for any w~~est lost. The motion c~:rried.
letter from the amity engineer was presented and read . `l'he letter vua9
tabled until the next regular meeting o#' the Council.
It was moved by ~wold and seconded by rreebury that the Council give the Ci.t~r
Attorney, and the committee appointed to investigate the cloying of a portion
of 2nd ''treat, authority to complete the deal. `l'he motion carried.
It was moved by ~~rker and secs need by j`od~,er9 the ~hairm~n of the Parch sing `'ommittee have authority to purc`r.:age such tires as are needed by the
City trucks. The rnot i~ carried,

8th ;venue, in order t o insure a right-of-quay for ditch in the use of F1oot1 Control f'or the City. the motion carried.
It was announced that the Mayor would prolcaim the week of May 1~ to 15
as ~le~n-up week.

recommended by the Finance Committee. ~l'he motion carried.

~d~usted to X225, beginning April 1st. 1'he motion car.r~ied.
It w as moved by ~'o1d and seconded by 11or~ger~ that the wages for the
following mere, Strecker, miller and Dickerson, be adjusted to ~1.~8 per hour,
starting ,April 1st. 1'he motion carried.
The Mayor recommended the apointment of A. ~lfers to fi1Z the unexpired
term of office as pity treasurer. It was moved bar uamer ar~d seconded b~ ~nith
the appointment be approved. The motion carried.
It was moved by Parker and seconded b~ t1odgers the Police Committed have
authority to alter restricted areas painted on curbs as they see fit:.. l~he motion carried.
It was decided bg~ the Council that the monthly' charge for water of N~rs.
~radle~ be continuted.
