Minutes of the City council of Laurel
2 March 1948
The pity ~a~uncil of the City of Ls~arel met in regular se9sion in the ~ou~cil Chamber and was called to order by Mayor 'Thomson at '~:~3~ otclock

Upon ro11 call the following aldermen answered present:

I~ r, N~erritt 4~illiams appeared before the Council in regard to insura nce on ~ General. Liability Policy. It was moved r~-,7 Wold and seconded by ~j`ubman that
insurance be ordered to cover the City machinery until the ~itg either rejects
or a ccepts such policy. ~l'he motion carried.
The Library report for the month of February was presented, It was moved by
Free~bury and seconded by Tubman the report be approved. ~l'he motion carried.
The Police reports for she month of ~`'ebru~ry were presented. It was moved
~'et~~~bacher and seconded by rreepary the reports be approved. 'j he motion c art~ie
The Police Judge report for the month of February was presented. It eras
movea by ~"eUerbacher and seconded by KQ~~ers the report be a~praved. ~'he
motion carriet3.
~n itemized statement of the cost of water line on ~~ighway No. la west of
the City bar Frank Q+Neil1,, was presented. It was moved by r'reebary and seconded
b~ Parker, Mrs. Lema Stouffer be .wanted permission to connect with such water
line, on presetatation of a written statement of consent, signed by l~r. rraY~k
4~Nei11, and other water owners of said line. The motion cai~°.ried.
RESQLUTION N0. 665
Resolution Nc. 665, being a re solutiota transferring; certain funds of the
City of„Laurel. Transferring money from the 'Interest an ~dar Bands r'ur~d~~r to
various other funds for payment of G ~~otor Patrol, and such money to be budgeted
and provided for each ,year go ghat the funds so transferred will be repaid to the Interest ~n far fonds Fund. It was mover. by y~old and seconded by Rodgers
that Resolution No. 665 be passed. Upon roll ca 11 all aldermen present voted
"Ayef~ and paid resolution was declared finally passed and approved.
~n application for a permit by Lane ZranNice to build a back porch 8x14 of
new lumber on concrete foundation, to ~e Massed in, on Lots 8, 9 & la, dock 19, Laurel heights at an az~proximate cost of ~p125 was p~•esented. It was moved
by nodgers end seconded by Feuerbacher the permit be ~r~anted• rl~he motion carried
An a pplicati~n for a permit by Phillip ~an~er~ to more 3..n house 20x36 frame
on rubber tires to Lot9 18, 19 & 29, Block 5, Laurel weights Subdivis~.on, and to
be placed on concrete foundation, at ~n a pproxim.ate cost of v~4,00~ was presented.
It was moved by Feuerbacher and seconded by Freeburg the permit be granted. The mot~.on carried.

was moved by parker and seconded by Freeburg the permit be granted. The motion carried..
An application f'or a permit by Pazal Dolechek to build a 26x3a Frame house
on concrete foundation on Lots 1~. & 12, dock 2, York pub,, at an approximate
cost of ~p650fl was presented. It was roved by hor'.~ers and sec anded by Feaerbacher
the permit be granted. The motion ca r~ried.

South 5th Street be referred to the street Committee for investigation, `end
to contact parties involved. `l'he rrsotion Carr. ied.
A letter from the Yellowstone Bank, regarding th.e relea~in~ of Collates! in the amount of ~p5,00a, addressed to the City Treasurer, was presented. It
was moved by Y~o1d and seconded by reuerbacher t}~e Treasurer have authorit~r to
release the bonds in question. The r~a~ic~n carried..

It was moved by Parker and seconded bg~ 1'euerbacher the City Attorney be
authorized to write Mrs. L~ pater making an offer of X75 per lot, for 2 lot s locate3 in the North pity Park. `he r~~otion carried.
The bi11s of the month of rebruary were presented for payment. It was
moved by Freeburg and seconded by ttodgers the bills be approved, and warrants
issued in the manner approited by the Finance Committee.
