Thy City Council of the pity of Laurel met in regu7.ar sess3.on in the ~auncil
Chambers and was called to Order` by Mayor jhomson a t 7X30 0~ clock P. 1VI. '~~uesdag

Upon roll call tl~e following; aldermen answered present

~'he rr~inutes of the last meeting were read. It was moved by ~~`euerbacher
and seconded by Romee the min~y.tes be approved. The rr~o~ion carried.
Mr. ~enr~ ~obertus appeared before the Councilrequesting a ri~it-of-way
from llzzrland Avenue north along railroad Street to the 'end of ..the City Limits,
with a .high-pressure gas line, Itwas moved by ~~`reebury and seconded by Wold
that an easement for right-off-wad stating whether Billings Gas Co., or henry
"obertus would be r epgonsibl.e for maintenance of such line' be drawn u~. The

An a p~lication for Retail Beer license f'or the l~Iill give-In Baas ~~resented.

motion carried.

The ~JVater report for the month of June was presented. It was moved by ~~old
and seconded by ~"euerbacher the ~o~ort Tie approved. The motion carried.

The Cleric t s report fog the _~nonth of Jute was presented. It was moved by
Freeburg and seconded by Romee the report be ~.pproved. '~'l~e notion carried.
A letter from the school hoard in which they expressed a Vvi~.lin~ness to
share half the cost of the recreational program 'was read. It was rioved by
Froebury and s econded by ~'eue,~rbacher a letter of acQep~ance of such offer. be
sent the ~ehoal District, Tho motion carried,
A.n apr~lication for a pernit by ~~alter Reiter to build a 11..x22 frame garage 'on concrete foundation of new and used rriaterials, on North 20? oi' Lot l~, Lot 15,

A letter f'rain the Mate Bc~.rd of Health, re~ardin~ ~re~se traps in .Main Trunk line of Viewer was presented and read.' The letter was referred to the
City Engineer..
It was moved by ~~old snd sem tided b ~'euerbacher the ~'heta Rho girls be
allowed to rent riverside park, Atagust 2~th, for a da~.ce, at ~10, with the girls
cleaning said hall after use. The'mot on carried.
It was rrioved by Freeburg .and seconded by ~oz~nee the ~"armers Union use of
riverside Park for the period from JuSy 19th through the 23rd be at the same
rate as in former gears, with the undersea nd that they leave all buildings and
grounds in food condition, and clean. The motion carried.
The budget was presented to the Council and tabulation was read to the
Council, as a ~iuhoAe. St was moved by '1'ubman and seconded by ~or~ee the preliminary ~
budget be approved. The motion carried.
