The minutes of the last meeting were read. Tt ~r as moved by Romee and
seconded by Mc~~z~.~.~ the minutes be approved. The ~n~tivn carried.

Cdr. Lee ~~heeler appeared before tY~ council, with written ~err:iission from tY~
brace Tract mater ~ soeiation., requsstin~ permission for ;ano~her tap on his
property on Trace ~~act. It rows ~QVed by ~`reebury and :seconded by ~=tQmee that
permission be granted. The motion. ca.r~ried.
Mr.. John Darhma appe aced before the Council in r~;~'ard to .water line on '
south Yello~vston:e Venue. He stated t]~at the eight owners of the line outside
the .City Limits were ~illin~ to pad their equitable share in the line, within:
the City T,imits, and. then would turn the Line to the City. the parties
outside the C~.t y 13:m~ts,, being served, to pad half tie cost of the. d~ ~~in~ aid
the pr3.ce of the pipe, in~~de the City, d the: City to pay the other half of cost, then all that line lying within. she ~i~y Limits to become the prppert~ of

place ~aso].ine storage tanks an concrete supports. on tY~e rear of .his property on nest Main Street. ~e stated that he would have a fire wall around these
tanks, also that they mould be fenced.' St suss moved by ~+'euerbacher and seconded
bar Rornee the matter be referred to the ~tr'eet a~. d ~.ll~y~ Committee with authority

Resolution No, 716 being a resolution transferring certain fun~.s of the City
of Laurel, was presented and read. It eras moved bar l~ic~~anus and seconded by Romee that ~ies~lution No. 71E~ be a~praved an.~ passed. Upon ra11 call all aldermen
present voted '~aye~ and said resoluti~in was declared passed and ~~y~roved.

The City ~'Cle~k reported to the ~ounci 1 that a peti~Lon had been filed in her
- office on ~~sy 10~h, 1950, requesting tie City Council to call an election o.f the employees of said Citg, so that they can express fi~ieir ~rishes on the subject of
partieipatin~ in tY~ Public ~mployeea~ Retirement Syster:~, established by the law,
wi th repsect to its er~rployees~ upon tie same terms, conditions, rights, ~rivi-
leges, payments, benefits end qualific~tion:~ as aapear in said statutes. after
discussion tY~ following Resolution No. 71l~, was proposed by Freeburg and read
in part. ~1'~reupon it was moved by Freeburg and seconded by Ro~mee ~h~ct~n~a~d resolution be passed and adopted, 3zith the fol lowing voting y ,
Feuer~acher, Romee, Rodgers, McCormick, ~'reebur~r. ~l'he Mayor thereupon declared
said ~e~lution carried, and the 1Vla~ror and City Clerk thereupon signed the said
Resolution in ~rproval thereof.

from Laird for Park on ast First Street. The motion carried.
A report was liven by the sewer Committee on the status of oil and grease traps in the business buildings in the City. It was moved by ~'`reebury and
second ed b~ Romee the City Clerk be authorized to run ad in the Laurel fltitlook,
stating such traps must be installed by July 1st. mhe motion carded.
A recors~nenda~ion by the Perk Cornmitte was made, tl~.~t the City purchase
1{. sprinklers, 1 traveler and 1 valve, for watering at t;he Athletic Park. It was moved by ~''reebury and seconded by ~~clVianus the recommendation be a~~r oved. ~'he
motion carried. .
I~ was mooed by r'reebury and s econded bar Romee that Fredrick Goodman be
appointed Recreational Director for the coming season, at a salary of 25~ per
month and for a 12-week period. The motion carried.
The Chairman of the Finance Committed, Freeburg, gave a report on Montana
