M« Tuesdag , December 1 3th, 1951. Upon roll call the following aldermen answored present:; Tubman Froebury McCor mick Rornee Mc~+Ianus Scott The minutes of the last meeting were read. It was moved by ~''reebury and seconded by Scott the minutes be ateproved. The motion carried. This being the dime set f'or receiving bids on a new truck, the City Clerk presented proof of put~lication in the Laurel Outlook, and w as instructed 'Go open and read a i bids. The f'ollouvin~ kids were received:. '~'~hen the meeting; was again ca-led to order it was gloved by Scott and seconded by `j'ubman, that the bid of ~:~'r~:n~~ being the low bid, the bid be accepted. The mot ion carried. `t'his being the time for opening bids £or gale of Lots 11 through 15, Block 2~ West Latarel subdivision, ~Ghe Clerk presented prof of p~.blication in the '~aurel Outlook, and was instructed to open and read bids. One bid in the amount of ~'L}.OU was receivad from Richard J. Harris ~r. It was moved by Freeburg and seQOnded by McliZanus the bid of R. J. Harris Jr. be rejected. The motion carried. 14 letter from the Livestock ~'~nitary Board, of the Mate of Montana, -was presented by ~harles~ood, and read to the Council. T1~ letter was in regard to vaccinating of do~~ and cats for rabie9, and s~Gating that it was not necessary to ~acein~.te dogs and cats that had been vaccinated last year. Owners uuho cannot ~atisf~,p you that their dog was vaccinated last year by exhibiting a vaccination tai or aer~ificate of vaccination, should have their dog revaccinat~d. I t was moved and soco nded that an Ordinance making First Avenue a through street be drawn up. .The motion car~~ied. `i'he Treasurer? s report for the month of November was read. It was moved by Ntcr~~anus -and .seconded by Komee thA~ the repor~G be approved. The motion carried. the Clerks s report for the month of l~overr~bor was read. It was moved by l~~omee and seconded by '~'ubman the report be a~provc~d. The notion carried. An application for a renewal of a bui dingy hermit by Daniel Suko to DU11Q a House coxa~, concretie alocxs, on concrete ~'oundat~.on, ors, Lots 5 & b, Block 2, Nut~Gin~ ubdivision, at an approximate cos~G of ~35UU was rr esen~ed. It wasmoved by 'Iubrnan and seconded by ~c~tt the r~nevual be approved. Thy motion carried. An applic at ion or a permit by Daniel Suko ~ o build a 22x2b garage of concre~;e blocks on concreto foundation, on Lots 5 ~C 6, Block iVuttin~ Sub- division, at an a~~proximate cost of 1500 was presented. It was moved by Homee and seconded by Mc~~anus the ~e rmit be granted. the moti on carried. An application for a permit by Jake Franks to build a 22x2I~ frame, of new ma ~eri~ls on concrete foundation on Lot a 5, 6 & 7, Block 2f~, fast `~ellowstone ~'ubdivision, at an a~proxirnate cost of X1000 was ~ esented. It was moved by Tubman and seconded by ~~resk~ury the pe rmit be ~rant~d. `1'he mots on c arri ed. An a plic anion for a permit by Roy Thora.~~~n Construction Co,, to build a 245x2~j.9 Brick anc~ frame school building on concrete foundation on Blocks 3L}. & 35, Allard Subdivision, at an approxirnate_ cost of X273,000 was presented. It ~~s moved by 'j~ubman and seconded by PZe1ylanus the ~ rmit be ' granted. `t'he motion carried. RESI~LiJTION N0. 759 Resolution No. ?59, being a resolution transf'~rring certain funds of the City of Laurel, was presented and read. It was moved by Freeburg and seconded by Rornee that Reso lution No. 759 be passed and approved. '?Tpon roll call all alderman present voted 'aye" and said ~3esolution was deolared passed and approved. RES.~~.UTION NU. 760 Reno lution l~to. 760 being a r esolution to cancel of record all or any Special Improvornent Di~~rict liability accounts incurred or issued priper to February 25, 192 , the liability of which has been e3tin~uished by r eason of issuance of 'tax deed, or by the applic anon of the statute of Limitations ar othar laws of the 32nd Session Lainrs of tho Legislature of the State of Montana, of 1951 tivas read in full. It was moved by Tubman and seconded by ~~omee that Resolution loo. 760 be passed and approved. Upon roll call all aldcarmen present voted ~~aye"~ and said resolution was declared passed ~~nd a~~proved. It was .moved by lubri.an and seconded by Freobury that l~.7 fonds of Special Im~rovQment District No. ?3, be purchased by the City out of "Interest on IiVar Bonds Fund.'' The notion carried. It was rioved by FrQObury and seconded by Scott that s~.laries and wages f'or employees be paid .by December 31, 1951. The motion carried. It vuas moved and seconded we do now adjourn.
