It was' moved b~,y Scott and seconded by MaiUjanus the minutes be approved. she motion carried. An application for a p~ex~tiit ~t~y Frank 0. It was moved by Feuerbacher and seconded by Rodgers the permit be granted. The motion carried. i~ An application for a permit by James Speare to ~auild an addition 8x12 on present ~;ara~e, of used materials on concrete foundation, on Lot l~, Block 15, Laurel Realty Subdivision, a~ an a~~proximate cost of 100 was presented.' It was moved by dodgers and seconded byI?Romee the permit be granted. The motion c~.rried. A letter from Blacktop Construction Company, signed by J. L. Puetz, Pres~~ent~ requesting an extension of tuna on the aQ~~ract so that they might complete the ~on~ract more satisfa~~~rily next springy when cornflitions will main permit work, also agree that due to certain conditions part oP tY~e w ork completed • this year wi~.l require , a certain amount of patching and perhaps some r eprocessin~. And a~reein~ to do this necessary work in the spring, also, at no extra cost to the City, was presented and read. It was moved by Scott and seconded by Feuerbaeher that the ~it~ grant an extention of contract, as per request, with provision that Blacktop construction finishes work in spring at no additional cost to City. The motion carried. The Council ordered that the following Lots 16 thru 20, Block 2, West Laurel Subdivision be advertised for gale. Upon roll ea11 all aldermen present voted 'fat'e" and said Ordinance was finally passed and approved. A letter from Z'. R. Holmes in regard to 'Goya charge, way read. I~ was moved by Scott and seconded by Romeo .the letter be ~1.aced on file. the motion carried. A petition signed by property owners on Eas~G si de of TYue~d Avenue in First Avenue Subdivision, requesting installation of a 1}.-inch water main, was presented. It was moved by Scott and seconded by xor~zee that- the City lad such a line, as9essing property owners on the East side of the street with the cosh of same. The motion carried. It St was moved by Romeo and secn~ded by Scott that the salary oP the Police Chief be raised to 286.08, and the salaries cif the Policemen b~ raised to X271.08, with clothing allowance cancelled. The motion carried. It was moved by Mc~'~anus and seo~ nded by Ror!~ee that the Enginemr - be authorized to increase water line nn ~yorning Avenue between Fifth and Sixth ;;treats, From a 2-inch line to a L}.-inch line. The motion carried. It was rioved and seconded, yve do now adjourn. The motion carried.
