The City council of the ~i~y of Laurel, met in r~gul~r session ire. the
Council chamber and was galled to cs~der b~ Mayor Thomson a~ 7::30 0~ clock M.

The minutes of the last melting were read It was moved by ~~reebury
and seconded by F'euerbache~ the minutes be approved. The motion carried.
An application for a~ermit by J. H. Moran ~o build a 12~ frame addition to present gauge, to be built on Qoncret~ f ound~.t~.~n, a~` ~~w materials,
on Lot 8, and E~ 9 ; Block 18, I.~aurel fealty Subdivi sion, at an approximate cost
of ~5~0 was presented. It vas moved b~ Mc~anus anal seQOnded by Romee the
permit be granted.-The rr~o~ion carried.
An applies ion for a permit by Laurel Plumbing. &c heating to build at ~.r, M:~
10x12 frame addition to present house, will be built on concrete foundation, ~ of new materials, on-.Lot 6, Block 3, East Laurel, at an a~~roximate cost of ~80~
was presented. 't'he permit was not passed, it eras moved by Rodgers and seconded
- b~ Sco~~ the matter be referred ~o aldermen in the hard to investigate with
authority to act. The motion parried.
An application for a permit by John Nolte to move ~ buildings 2£x28 frams, from 416 LE.th avenue, to Lots 11 & 12, and 13 & 1~., Block 3, Youngs a
~ubdivison, ~o be mowed on rubber tired vehi~l.e, placed on concrete foundation,
build an addition 12x16 ors. e aeh, and ~ ads in~G o ~ morn houses wi th bath, at
an approximate cost of 20(70 each, was presented. St was moved by Scott and
seconded by Rodgers the perriit be granted. The motion carried.

pre~eri~~d. I~ was moved by ?dodgers and seconded by Feuerbacher the permit
be granted. The motion carried.

post of 1200 was presented. It ~+as moved by Feuerbacher and ~eaonded by
Rodgers the permit be granted. The motion Qarried.

Mr. J'oe Pitts of the Blacktop Construction Company appeared before
the Council, requesting payment from tY~ city for work v~hich has ~aesn completed
on ~i~y Streets, to date. I~ was recornmer~.ded by the City Attorney that ~
~ritte~ request for extension of contract due ~o weather conditioMS be seat
to the Council, before any .payment i$ made.
It was moved by ~'~reebury and seconded by Rodgers that the City iff~ter
Dep~.rtment purchase boat fr~o~ Lew Conr3.er for use. in cleaning reservoir. The
motion carried.

~elconded by Romee the request be granted. The motion carried.

A letter in regard to the school b~~a:g~held a~ ~o~emar~ beginning i
November 7th,, for and water operators was read. It was moved by nome~
and seconded by Mc~ormick, that John Dennis, City EnE;ine~r, b~ sent to the
school with expenses paid. The motion. carried.
