September ~j~l ~ ~ The City Council, of the City of Laurel met in r egular session in the Council Chamber and was called to order by T~layor 'Thomson at 7::30 of clock P . r1T. Tuesday, SopterzbQr lath, 1951. Upon roll call the follov~~in~ aldermen answered pre~s~.tz: Feuerbacher ~3od~e~s Tubman McManus _ Freeburg McCormick The minutes of the last m~etir~; were read. It irvas moved by l~ubman and seconded by ~'euerbacher the minutes be approved. ~r'he motion carried. Mrs. Francis Kerr appeared before the Council r equ.esting permission to connect with the .City vuater north of the Big Ditch. It was moved by `I.'ubrnan ~ and seconded by Feuerbaeher that permission be granted. The motion carried. The I.~ibrary re~o~t for the month of August was. presented. It was moved bar ~'~eue~b~.cher and seconded by McManus the report be approved. The motion carried. I The Police reports for the month of august were resented and read. It was moved by Tubrian and seconded by N`eCormiek the repcEr~ is be approved. The- moti on Carrie d. The Health Of'ficer's report fort he month of August was presented. It i was moved by Freeburg and seconded by McManus the report be approved. An application for a pormit by William Berke to move a 12X18 frame garage from Lots 6 & 7, s~.o~~ ib, La,~~1 ne~z~y to L~t~ 13 & B1oek 11, I Laurel R ,alty, to be moved. on rubber tired vehicle, at an approximate cost of X50 was ~ esented. It was moved by Mc~Tanus and seconded by Rodgers the permit be granted. 'j'he rr~ot ion carri ed. An application for a permit by Carl tinderson to move a 12x22 frame garage from Railroad property at Northwest intersection of Yellowstone ~wenue and • Railroad ~tree~ to 509 E. l~.th Street, to be moved on rubber tired conveyance, and to .build a concrete foundation and concrete floor f'or 12x22. garage, of new materials, at an approximate cost of 150 was presented. It ~a~ moved by McManus and seconded by Rodgers the permit be granted. The motion carried.. An application for a permit by Henr~r Lohof to build a 10x12. frame addition of new materials, on concrete foundation on present building on Railroad right of quay, at an approximate cost of ~12Q0 was presented. It was riov~d by McManus and seconded $y Rodgers the permit be granted. The motion carried. Mr. 11~Ierritt~ ~~Ii"lliams appeared before ~Ghe Council in regard to storm. sewer at intersection of 1st street and Second avenue. No action was taken at this time . Upon ro11 call. all aldermen present voted "ays" and said ~ resolution was declared passed and approved.
