The Gity Council of tY~.e City of .Laurel met. in regular session in the
Council .Chamber, and way called ~o order by Mayor Th~rison a~ 7:30 clock P. M.
Tuesday May 1st, 1.51.
Upon roil call the following aldermen answered present:

The minutes of the last meeting were r gad, T~ was moved by ~~omee and
seconded by 1~eManus the ~inute~ be approved. The motion carried.
Mr. games A. Dixon. appeared before th.e ~ouneil in r egard to e xtendin~ the
Water Main on West Main Street from 7th .venue ~0 8th #~venus. Tt was moved by
Freeburg and seco~ded?~a~~ Romee the groper petition be signed ~o create a district
and put in such water line. The motion carried.
The ~'a~er report for April 2Uth vas read. Tt ~?a~ moved by ~'euerbacher
and seQOnded by McManus the report be approved.. The motion carried.
The Police Judges e report for .the month o,f ,,A,pril was presented. It wss
' moved by Feuerbaeher and seconded by McManus the repo~~ be approved. The motion
carried.
The Pollee sports for the month of April wore presented. Tt was moved
- by FreeUury and seconded by ~ZcManu.s the reports b~r:.approved.. The mo~3.on carried.
The Library sport for the month- of April was presented. It was moved
by ~''reebury and. seconded by ~;ornee the report be an}aroved. The motion carried. ~

write the Attorney General for an epinion in regard to the present Milk ~rdina~ce,
anal now in force in th.e City of Laurel. That ~no aetion be taken until hearing
from him. The motion carried.
The matter of licensing Bicycles in the pity was raferred to the Finance
Comrn3.ttee for study dill the newt rnee~ing.
Tt was referred to the street committee and the Gity Engineer to
3.nvesti-gate the matter of sidewalk and curb, in the new Subdivisions, with, no strip of lawn between.

Ito. ~25, be finally,p~ssed. and approved. Upon roll call all aldermen present
voted "aye" and said ordinance was declared passed and approved.
