Co~a.ncil Chambers end was called to order by Mayor Thomson at 7:30 otcl.ock P. 'M.

Mr. B. Meyer Harris appeared before the Council r eportin~ on the Clean-u I
campaign which some of the merchan~~ had sp-onso~°ed for 6 weeks. He Mated that
it v~ra~ very- suceess~ul, and su.gg~sted that. the City oarry on such a campaign
for c~.eaning the streets and gutters o~ paper .and debris, from April till
November: Tt was sug~es~ed ~ha~ such a~program be financed and paid in the Garbage District No. 1 charges.
