The motion carried.: Mrs. Fred Brown appeared berore tl~e Council requastin~ permission to tap Water Main trunk line nor th of the fit g. It was moved by TuY~~~ and seconded by McCorrnick permission be granted Mrs. Brown, to tap Main. ',the motion carried. Mr. Ethmer Morri $anra appeared before the council reque st ing~ permi s si on to tap water main north of the City. It was moved by '-~'ubman and seconded by Romee p~rmi~sion be granted. The motion carried. Mr. Markin Manus appeared before .the council reugesting that he be permitted to make a 2 or ~-inc~i tap of the water main nc.~ th of the pity, uua.th line to be laid mast ~hrou~h his property. It was moved by ~uh~an and seconded by Rorr~.ee ~h~ request be denied to lay a pri~rate water line to serve several people. The motion carried. Mr. C. C. Calvert Jr. appeared bBfore the CouMCil with a petitioM be~rin~ the names of several b2a.siness~ on M~ n ~troet who wish to create a special clean-up district. It was roved by ~reabury and seconded by Scott that- the necessary preparations for the Cleanup px~o,ject be prepa~~d~. costs worked out for tax r olls for the co~in~ tax year. mho motion carried. The mater of utility bills for the Police Station building were referred to the ~'ol~ e Corr~ittee for a report at the next meeting. Mrs. G. N. ~~iggins, Mrs. Y. A. Johnston, and Mrs. C. H. Barney ~~~eared before the council representing three Garden Clubs and the 4~oman~s Club, asking what action the Cour~ei~ could take in regard to doffs running at--~^large in the City, destroying flowers and shrubs. T~~a y stated that it was impossible to try to help beautify the City, unless some action eras taken by the owners €~f ;dogs to ke~rp' them on their own premises during the ~ro~ving season. Mr. Merritt '~illiams appeared before the Council with a sketch of a plat for - a subdivision North of the City on the K. C. Brown prop~r~y.
