HomeMy WebLinkAboutSpringFest 2009_ L `i i200 Event Information SpringFest Four years ago, St. John's Lutheran Ministries announced the development of The Crossings, an active community for independent retirees. We recognize that this could not have been done without support from the entire Laurel Community. Since 2006, we have hosted SpringFest, events to support various special. projects at The Crossings as well as the larger Laurel community. Last year raised funds so that the Laurel Senior Center could install a handicap accessible entrance. We are excited to introduce you to SpringFest 2009! This year, we will raise money for two projects. The-first is to .construct a community pavilion. This pavilion will be on the landscaped grounds of The Crossings and be available for people to gather, meditate, read a book, enjoy the ducks and participate in organized events and entertainment for the community. The remaining funds will support our Mission Fund that supports elders in times of crises. At the bottom of this document is an artist's rendering to help paint our vision. To reach our goal we have established three events and have listed how participants may help.
