January 27,2009
Meeting called to order at 1900 by Chairman John Smith.
Members present were Bill Brennan,Don Schlegelmilch,Bob Western,and Roy Zahm.
Guests present were Randy Pfiefle,Craig Canfield,John Stewart,and Bob Redding.
Minutes of the previous meetings were approved as read.
Stewart questioned why "old "hangars are scheduled to be eliminated.Explained that this had
been decided over 20 years ago for numerous reasons including the fact that most of them are
delapitated and an "eyesore".He then wanted to know if hangar parking space is available.There
may be several spots available.
Craig Canfield reported that he had met with the Laurel City Council in regard to the"Airport
Affected Area"ordinance.The L.V;.P. Has been submitted to the F.A.A. And the National
Geodetic Survey for approval.Approval may take a long time.The U.S.D.A.has completed a
wildlife hazard survey.the only area of any concern is at the old dump site.Wetlands survey will
be done as soon as weather permits.
The Montana Community Airport Association[formerly MONTAP]will hold a conference in
Billings on March 4t',5",and 6#`.
All "old hangar"owners need to pay their back rent.
Motion made by Western,seconded by Don,to charge Doug Poehls rent for the additional area
taken up by his new exterior anchor cables.Motion passed.
Meeting adjourned at 1950.
