U. ~~oebe appeared be~'ore the Council vuith ~~e plans and- ~pecifcati for ~Ghe City Hall building. -fit was moved by ~'~eebury and seconded bT., Scott that the recommendation of the city Engineer k~e accepted and the plans approved. The motion carried . A let~Ger .from Lawrence Byrd, secretary of a Church group, requesing permission to use riverside Fark, on Novembor 15th, for a church ga~Gherin.g, was read. It was mc~red by ~oo~Gt and seconded by MQManus that ~Ghe Church be allowed t o us o the Hail, ana no rent al be ch~rgecl. The mod i on a a.rri ed. It was moved by Beslantivi~Gah and seconded by ~todgera that a letter ~f thanks be writ yen ~Ghe Laurel Co-op Assoc. for their efforts in recoverir~; re~'und on Gasoline Tax. The motion parried. A letter was received from Gamblers Store in r~~ard to a bill oharged for pain , and miscellaneous items. ~Z~he lector was placed on file. The 'Vl~ater report for august 20th was ~r wonted. RE~+OZUTION N0. 833 Resolution No. 833, being a resolution levying; and assessing taxes in S.I.D. ~`7~, Main Sheet Curb and Gutter, was presented. It was maved by Fr~ebur and seoonded b~T ~~ott that Resolution No. 833 ~e passed and approved. Upon roll ca11 all aldermen p~:~sent vo~Ged ''aye~'~ and said resolution was declared passed and appr~ oved. RESQLUTION N0. 83~ Resolution No. 834, being a resolution levying and as so s sine taxes in S.I.D. , being s-Gorm sewar laterals in the l~.th '~liard, was presented. It was moved by Ruf'f' and seconded by Rodgers that Resolutian ~o. ~31~. be passed and a!~proved. Upon r~ii call all aldermen presen~ voted "aye" and paid resolution was deolared passed and approved. Upon roll call all aldermen present vo~Ged "aye" and said resolution was declared passed and approve ORDINANCE N0. L~60 Ordinane e No. 160, 'being an emergenQy ordinance relating to the loe.ation of residential buildings and ~ta~in a side yard of at leash 5-feet be allowed was presented and read. It vuas moved by ~eslanwitch and seconded by Barris Ghat Ordinance No. ~.60 be Finally pas sod and approved. Upon roll Hall, all aldermen present voted '"aye"' end said ~rdinanoe was declared Finally passed and a:~proved. It was moved by Freeburg and seconded by Beslanwitnh 'Ghat the city clerk be instruQted to advertise for bids f'or S.I.D. X75, storm sewer laterals. The mo~i on a ~.rrie d.
