Wedn~sd Maur 19 ~xi, ~g 5~.. Upon roil call the Following aldermen answered present: R uf' f Tubman B~~lanwi~ch Rodgers Ma ~I~nu s ~'r e e bury The rninute~ of the previous meeting were r ead. I~ was moved by RuP~ and s~eonded by Turman the m3.nutes be approved. Thy motion carried. Mr. George foods appeared before the Council in regard to water line ors. L~.cu.st Avenue. He requ.es~ed -that he b~ permitted to pay only f'or that portion of the 1in.e, that would serve the west side of the ~stree~. I~ way moved by R~zff and seconded by Beslar~.~itch that Mr. ~~oods pay ~ the cost, and the City take care of the balance, due to the feat that the east side of sa3.d street is outside of City Limits, and already served with a private 1in~. 'T'he rno~ion ~ar.$~ed. Mr. Robert ~enrg appeared be~'ore the Council requesting that h~ be ~r~.nted permission to build garage 12 or ~ feet fr~~m his north boundary line. It was moved by Rodgers that special permission ~e granted to b~zild the ~a~~ge on the location desired, if it did not interfere with the neighbors view. The motion was lost for want of a seQOnd. No fu.~ther action was taken at phis ~3me. Mr. John Br ohaugh appeared befare the ~ ounc iZ on behalf of the Firemen, ask3.ng when the building would be finished. He stated :,had the F3.remsn would ~,o the necessary laying of file on the floors anal making the cabinets and cour;~ters, i~' the City would pay for the materials. Also stated that the ~''irem.~n would protect the floors at the ~im~ that the heating is being instal.l~d. It vas moved by Ruff and seconded by Bealanwitch the City pay for such mater3.als as awe needed. The motion carried. ` Mr. Robert Olson, of the rifle Club appeared ~t the Council meeting. A discussion was held on t~.e dif'f'ieu:Lties between the Rifle Club and ~Ghe Rod ~ Gun. Club. It vas moved by Beslanwitch and seconded by ~c~'~anus that the Rifle Club and Rod & Gun Club be notif ied that t~i;~~ should gel up ~ommittee~, to try ~o straighten out the existing difficulties, on or before the let of June, or ~Gl~ Council will be compelled to take such action as they deem n~ce~sary, The mod i on e err i ed. ~n application for position on the Polict~ Department, was presented by Alvin Greeno.
