Harold burns appeared before the Council e xplain3.r v~hat the yout~h~_p~ogram had been last year, and what. they a re panning to do fr~r the cumin{; season. ~e requested that the City allow ~P500 for the coming season. It eras moved by r~r~ebury and seconded by dodgers that the grogram be carried on the same as last year, with the funds.. to be used for equipment, lights, etc. The motion carried. Mrs F. L. Mayes appeared before the council and have an invitation 'Go all r of the council and rnembers of the ~'ity offices, too ttend the Commercial Club dinner to be held May 26th, Zg55, at 6:30 o~clock. It was moved by Williams that tha nominatior.~ be closed, that the secretary take the vote, and inform Alderman Scott that he i~ the new President of the ~'ouncil. The City ineer requested that the City draw up ordinance for he next meeting, that all new houses, or hoaxes that are being remodeled, will have to put in curb, gutter ~~.nd sidewalk.
