~'he minutes of the last rne~t3.n~ were read. ~t was moved by Beslanwitch and
seconded by Ruff the minutes be approved. `rhe motion carried.
A letter from Fiu~;h K. Potter, llirector of Civil Defense in Montana, in regard
to Federal participat3.on in a radio base s~Gation was read. I~ was moved by
Freeburg and .seconded by '~ubrnan that the Pol~.ce committee ~d the city Attorney
study the matter ancc~ brim in report. 'rhe motion carried.
`the ~Natcr report for larch 2Qth was presented. It was moved by ~''reebury and
seconded ~y Reslanwitch the report be approved. The motion carried.
l~he Health ~f~icer's report was presented, I~ was moved by Ruff and seconded
by Tubman the report be approved. 1'he motion carried.
'rhe Police Judge's repc~r t f'ob' the rc~onth of March was presented. Tt was moved
by Beslan~*~itch and seconded by ~ra.ff the rep cr t be approved. The moti on c arried.
'rhe Police re~~orts f'or the month of March were presented. It vvas moved by Ruff
and seconded by 'Tubrrlan the reports be approved. motion carried.
A letter from A erman, with recommendations for 2 lady~ li=~'e-guards
was read. It was moved by reebury ~d seconded by 1`od~ers that 1Vir. Ackerman be adv advised that the a~?plication will be turned over to the ~'ecreation committee,
sometircle this month, S'or study. The motioza. carried.
A letter from ~haren ~''oote, was read. It was moved by Freeburg and seconded
by dodgers, thc;t P~fiss Foote be advised that the a~plica~ion will k~e turned .over to
the Recreation Committee, so me~ime t~-~is month, f'or study. The zr~otior~. carried.
An application from Holland Nunn vaas read. It was moved by Fre~bury and
seconded by ~'od~;ers the letter be rreferred to the 1t~ayor ana city '~ngin~er, 'the
motion cart=ed.
A letter from the Laurel Commercial club in regard to the street Clean3.ng
pro~i~am way read. ~t was suggested that the program be included 3.n Garbage District No. 1, and included in the ~'utlget in July.
`I'he clerk was instructed to wx~3:~e the Great Western ~u~ar company, request~.ng
permission to open Cedar avenue, north of South third Street.

A letter frorr~. the registrar of l~2otcr Vehicles in regard to a published list
of Veh3.cle owners was read. The le~t~r was placed on File.
It was moved by :Scot and seconded by lubrnan. that a letter?~~be written to Georg
smith, reques~in~ that she put iri regular sidewalk along east side of building on Penn~~$lvania Avenue. the mot ion carried.
RESOLUTIOl~t N0. 902
~e~olution No. 902. being a resolution platting a school block in the Behrn
subdivision was read. Tt was moved ~y ~f'eebury and seconded by L~eslanvviteh that Resolution No. X02 be passed ar~d approved. Upon roll call all aldermen present
voted `~aye~ and said resolution wag decl~.red passed ~d approved.
`rhe ~ol~,ce chief' reported on the Police car., It was moved by '~cott and
secon~.ed bar lubman that the offer of the Archie ~'ochran rotors be accepted, as
per agreement.. 'the motion carried.

re~e~red to the purchasing ommittea. 'rhe purchasing ommittee recozr~nnended that the
agreement wi th Qehrane be accepted. It was moved by Scott and seconded by odd ers that the ~'urehasin~ Committee's recommm~daiton be approved. On motion Aldermen
Freeburg, l~ubman, Eieglan~itch, ~cl"anus, H od~ers and Scott, voted "eye ~ and
Ruff 'ono. " the mot ion carried.
It was requested that the vehicle be equipped with a heavy-duty ananeter.
The-City yngineer recommended that the atandard California-type sidewalk, curb ~r1d gutter be requir d along the south side of Seventh street, .west of First
Avenue. It way moved b~ ~ubman anal se oa n.ded by beslanwi~ch the rem mmendation be
approved. `t'he motion carried.

~'i.ty Attorney be allowed to leave the State from the 18th of ~pri1, till the end of the m.ont h. The mot ion e arr ied.
The ~'ity Clerk was instructed to write Mo~orol~ ~orr~r~.unications in~'illings,
stating; that the city would like to apply f'or a Frequency for a base station,
and to reply to Mr. Potter that we have FM and are planning to put in a Base
station.
