Charr~bers, and was called to order bg Mayor `~omson, ~t &;30 o~cloak p.m. Tuesday
iyovemb~r 6th, X956.
Upon roll aa11 the following aldermen answered present:

Leuthold Freeburg

The Rever~.nd Allen opened the meet~.n~; with a pray~~.
The minutes of t.~e previous meeting were read. It was moved by Parker and
seconded by ~euthold 'the minutes be approved. The motion carried.
Mr. Lyle Rodgers appeared before the ~ouneil i~ regard to the sidewalk along
Alder A~~~.ue, along the ditch. The mater was referred to the Aldermen oP the Fourth Ward, and any change in placement of sidewalk wou3~d have to be by petit ion
of .all property o~s?ners involved.
Mr. Ancit Pearson apeared before the ~ouncit in regard to X80 sidevualk payments,
he staffed that all s~.dewal~s in the Block had been put in by property owners. It
waa gloved by ~aot~ and seconded by Parker that the property owners make payments
for 1956, then there would be a re-appr~.is~l o~ payments in the lli~trict. `ghat those people in Bioek~ 3, the ICE corner of Blk 2, and 1 ouwner in Blc>ck I~, and the other
owners affected, be deleted from assessments, ef~ecGive next tax dear, and that
balance of cost be re-distributed and charged against property that is involved.

The Library report ~'or the month oP October was presented. It was moved by Leuthold and seconded by Scott the library report be approved. The motion Q arried.
The Police reports f'or the month of October were presented. It was moved by
Parker and s~canded b~ Leuthold the reports be approved. The motion Qarried.
The Police Judge's report for the i~?~nth o~ October was presented. It was moved bq Scott and s~aonded by Williams the report be approved. The motion a€arr~.ed.
A letter from the V`Jestern Construction Co., in regard to a meeting of Adams
Machinery users, to be held in Great Falls ~uas mead. It was moved bgSeott and
se~ond~d by dodgers the letter be placed on f ale. `1'he motion Qarried,
The bills of the mo~hth of October were presented f'or payment. After due
consideration by the ~~'inanQe Committee, it was moved by Freeburg and- seconded bar
Parker the following bills be allowed:

The motion Qarried.
It was reported by .Alderman Rodgers that the alley orossing by the Red & Wh~.te
Store on East Main Sheet was faulty, and should be taken care off. No action eras
taken on this matter, at the present time.
It vas moved by Yarkor and seoonded by .Le uthold that the ~ ity pay for the
removal o.~ tree from the boulevard at the xenrq Weber resdenQe. .The motion carried.
The merry-go-round at the Forth Park ~uas reported in poor oond~.tion and should
be taken out and repaired. Also reported vuas the oondi~ion of the platform ar~d
guard ra~.l at tie Sky-watch, ~uhioh are loose ar~cl should be repa~.~ed. Other repairs
are also needed at this building.
Zt was reguested that the street Leps~crt~ent put in a little gravel where gumbo had been put in, to protect the eonarets alley orossings that were put in recently.

pay the years s interest which will be involved, inasmuch as the bonds had not been
withheld, and the interest will have to be paid at the time oP redemption of bonds.

Mr. Banker reported on tk~ progress a~ the river, and sta~Ged that fop ~onstructi
should be liable f'or liquidating damages, as they are behind an the it contract on
the work being dons . It was moved by Leuthold and seQOnded by Ebersvill.er that the
City ~%ngineer write a letter to Cop construction, informing them that the CounQil
was considering taking such action. The motion e~rried.

Bozeman from November l~}. to 16th.. the motion carried.
