Chambers, and was called ~o order by Mayor '~'homson at 7:30 o1elc~ak p. m., Tuesday
April 17~., 1 56.

The rr~etin~ was opened wa.th a prayer by Reverand Haemmelrnann.
'the minutes of the previous meeting were read. It was moved bar Parker and seconded by ~bersviller the minutes be approved. `the motion carried.
l~~r. Lei.zthold informed the Council that the date of the Cor.A~rnereial Club dinner
had been changed from ~~pril lath to April 27th.
lJtr. tfc~bert ~3anker, the E`n.~;3.neer from ~1~ ck & Veatch, who is supervis3.n~ the cons~ruation work can the Filtration Plant, gave a report on the progress. He staffed
that the appearance of the work soens would be remed3.ed verb shortly. The work on
the Intake wo~zld probably be delayed until after high water season, or about Jul~*

amended, as recommended by t:~e Ci Gy .~ti~orney. The mot~.on serried.

,A report by alderman Parker on lnoviiz~ of fence a.nd light poles at Athle~~~
'Park. H~ stated that the I~~oni:ana P over Company would dravu up a light diagram ~'or
the placing of lights to b e moved. `T'hat the intent was to have bleachers a1.on~
the north- side of the Park, with cho entrance on the north also. It way also
suggested that the s treat could be anr~led, and that Ghe Calif'orna.a-dyne sidewalk
could be used a1on~; the south side o~ the Street.
RESOLUTION N0. 959
Resolution No. 959s being a resolution ~ransf'errin~ ~erta~.n funds o~ the City
of '~~urel way read. It v~a~ moved by Scott and seconded by Rodgers that R~solut ian
No• 9~9 be passed and approved. Upon roll call all aldermen present voted "aye~~'
and said Resolution was declared passed and a~~roved.

and seconded by Parker that she ~a~or be authorized to sign t~1~ change order. `.Phe

It was moved by `~cat~ and seconded by Letzthold the e1a3.m o~ Cop ~onstru~~ion in the amount o~ ~9~20.18 be paid. The motion. carried.

't'he Claim of Black & Veatch in the amount o~ X15,571.80 was presented. It was
moved by ~cot~ and seconded by Williams ghat the claim be paid on the presentation of the properly signed claim.. jhe motion carried.

It w~zs moved by Freeburg and seoonded by Scott that t bill for angineerin~;
services for 'the Plat on school property be approved and paid. 'rhe motion carried.
There was a ~enaral discussion on uhe Qovemin~ of ditches ire. she C~.-~y. It was
sug~es-~ed tT~ati:the pity participate in the en~~.neering work, and the hauling away
of t~.e dirt, but that the remainder o~ tho cost be a SpeQial Improvement District
charge to the proparty owners 3.nvolved.

amity share no res~onsibiilty f'o~ committmen~s made by fir. tt~test to fir. Richardson.
It was moved by Parker and seconded key Rodgers that the rnat~er be referred to
the M~.~or, City Attorney, the aldermen in 'the 'T'hird ~~ard, to meet with Mr. Vest
and Mr. Richardson to handle the matter. 'The motion Qarried.
A, general clean-up o~ the alley's, o~ al1 debris will be made in about 10-days.

It was moved by Sc~~t and. saoonded by Leuthold that the deliv'er'y date be
specified ~o be in approximately b-weeks. The mot~.on carried.
It was moved by Freeburg and seQOnded by Ebersviller that only the eonstruQtion
of Chural~.es be without charge, for the permit, bud rhat ~err.~.its mint be obtained.
The motion carried.
It was rmoved by Rodgers and seconded by Leuthold that the request of Dave
P~~urr~y for water north of the City Limits is not acceptable unless tha plat meets
v~vith the ~ouncil~s approval, as the present plat does not show streets and alleys.

It was moved by Leu~hold and seconded by Scott that the City En~3.neer be au~hori zed to employ temporary serv~ceg of an engineer to help with the w ork in his
office. The motion carried.
