Freeb~,ury reported on the qu~~s~io~ of S.I".3~. ~Sf~. H~ sugg~st~:d that this

Mr. Eb~;rsvill~r repor~~d on the meeting held by the Polio 'Co~nittee. It i~

Diek reported ~a the Council that c~:rtain reque~~~ were made by the employ~~~s
of the City of Laurel.

Mr. Freeburg report,~d o~ the wire in~pectiQns. He stated that usually one call
for the w~.re inspection fee m~ ~~.4~ was enough. He~wever' h~, staffed that in some cases
people whm do not lmow how to b¢ an el~etrician, will require him to m~c~ from two to

Mr. Parker reported that. the I~areh of D3.~es would like to have the use of
Riverside Ha11 0~ January 18th with no charge,, provided they can not get ~h~ gy~aa~iu~.
After discussion, it was suggested that the March ~f D3.m~~ darsce, berg a p~b1i~ dar~ee~
should b~ asked to pay the expenses inczzrred, a.~ far as clean ~ and 7.ight~ are eonc~rn~d.

Mr. Parlor ~tat~d that as this way the list meeting of the ol.d year, h~ would
like ~m report on some of the things that have beep accamplisMed in ~Y~e sight moaat~hs of
the new adm3.nistra~io~. He stated ghat he watxld like to thank c~rta3n p~op].e for their
cooperation and h~l.p 3n these t3.~ae~s. He stated that a].tho~.gh we are not impressing the
peoplt~ in our o~. town, we have a r~qu~~t from the Mayor o~ ~idney~ Montanan requ~~tin~
a copy of our new Zoning Crrdi~ance that we have put into effect. He skated that we have alga had. ~ request from Gler~dive requesting infar~ation on o~t~r Water Plants the approa~i-
mate cQSt,~ the Cc>ntr~etor~, and ~y information we co~.ld ,give thew. He stated that 3.~

the City Co~neily and the Engineering Department. kT~ al.~o requested that the Council

Mr. Fark~r ~.l~o read. a letter from owe of the Coux~.cil.Tn~;r~ in answer to a letter
written and published in the Laur~Z Ou~~ook by I~r. Herman K. Frank.
Some time ~,~o, ~r~ had a letter from some youngsters in School, criticising
the City for considering a po~~ible charge for the swinvn3.n~ pool. After N.~. Parker had
talked to these young people, showed theme what wc~ were doing, expl~.3.ned the mill levy,,
showed them tYY~rrough the water plants he ~~ated that they hme~ a 1i~~1e better idea of what
it is to rtan a City. l~r. Parker then read a letter he h~.d just received Fromm this sane
delegations thanking Mr. Mayor for his consideration shown them a~ that time.
