The City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana, mat in
Apscial Session in the council Chambers, and was called to order by
Mayor J. J. Parker a~ 7 :30 o ~ cloQk, P.M., Monday, August 1.2, 1957 •
Upon roll call, the following aldermen answered present;
Ira D. Rodgers A. Leuthold J. E. Freeburg
boy Horn~.ng Walter TJlenello
This being the ~irne and place to set the mill. levy and assess
the 'taxes fir the coming year, motion was made by Rodgers, and seconded
by L-'euthold that the mill levy be set and unchanged from the levy tem- porarily set on August 7, 1957• Motion Carried.
Leuthold stated that some of the neighbors of George Jarrett
had been complaining about h3.s i~am Radio Station. Mr. Leu~hold stated
that he could hear aonve~s~tion of t~.e Jarrett s over the ne~.ghbort s
radio.
City Clerk has had a oomplain about Jarrett s operat3.ng a T.V.
Repa3.r Shop, and selling T.V. part, and parts for General Eleatria
appliances from his home without a lioense.
The Cpunty Commissioners and County Surveyors were here on
an inspection tour that has been pending for some time, on Friday. i~er~ibers of the Chamber of Commerce went out with them, and went over
many spots in question, with a view to gettzng the County to do some
repairing,.

be much cheaper to widen the br~.dge. As to the Ditch that has been dis-
aussed in the past, the Commissioners re-aff3.rmed the fact that ~Ghey had
given their approval to build the ditch before.
dir. Rodgers reported that he had a eompl.aint about Albert
Ehrlich who is operating a blacksrn3.th business without a lioense.
There bei.n~ no further business, Mo~fon was made and seconded
that the meeting be ad3ou~ned. Mot~.on Carried.
