J. Parker at 7:30 0' clock P.M., Wednesday, Au~us~G 7, 1957• Upon roll call, the following aldermen answered present; Ira D. Rodgers A. E. Leuthold J. E. Freeburg Roy Horning Walter l~~enello This be~.ng the time and place to hear any persons with protests re~ar~ing the proposed budget for the eom~ng, TJIr. Parker asked all present to present their protests. There being no protests to the proposed budget, it was moved by Menello and seconded by Rodgers, that the one-mill levy for the ~.irport be dele~Ged, adding one-half mill to the L~.br~ry Fund, and one- half mill to Light District #1 Fund. Upon taking roll call vote, all members present voted to make this change, and a].l voted °tAye" with the exaept~.on of Mr. Leuthold who voted "No.'t Motion Carried, and the mill levy as changed is as Follows: General Fund 17.0 mills P o t is e Fund 3. p 't Street Fund 10.0 rr Park & Band 7.0 ~i.brary 1.5 Swim Pool 2.5 "r City I~.~;11 Bonds 3.p •r Storm Sewer Bonds ,~.C1 Lzght District No. 1 1.0 " Light District No. 2 2.0 " 0.0 1' The guestion of a h~~her charge for Garbage collection was raised. Mr. Rathbun had present°ed a report to the City Council for a higher oharge to be placed on Garbage. Mr. Rodgers stated ghat at this - late date that he ~hou~;ht there should have been more time put on this question, with all members of the committee involved. Mr. Fr~ebury agreed that there was not time now to raise ~h~s charge without more and thorough investigation. 147r. Rodgers made the motion that a third man be placed on the Garbage truck f'or a per iod of ten vuorkin~; days as a trial to try to improve the service. SeQOnded by Freeburg. Potion Carried. RESOLUTION No. 1006 RESOLUTION No. 100b being a resolution levying taxes for General and specif is purposes for the City of Laurel for the fiscal year beginning July 1st, 1957, was read. I~ was moved by Rodgers and Seconded by Menello that th~.s resolution be approved. Upon Eakin roll call vote, X11 .Aldermen present vol~ed "Aye'", and Resolution No. 100 vas declared passed and approved. RESOLUTIOPI No. 1007 RESOLUTION No. 1007, boing a resolution 1evy~.ng and assessing a Special Tax against certain property designated at Garbage Distrio~ No. 1, f'or the removal of Garbage, Snow, UUeeds, and Refuse, was read. It was moved by Rodgers and seconded by Menello that this resolut3.on be approve a. RESOLUTION N0. 1008 RESOLU'I'IUN N0, 1003, being a resolution levying and assessing a special tax against certain property designated as Csarbage Distr~.ct No. 2, ~'or the removal of garbage, snow, vueeds and refuse, was read. It was moved by Menello and seconded by Horning that tha.s resolution be approved. Upon taking roll call vote, x.11 aldermen present voted-s'Aya" and resolution No. 1008 was declared passed and approved. RESOLUTION N0. 1009 RESOLUTION N0. 1009, being a resolution levying and assessing all of the property erlbraced within Special Improvement District Li~ht- in~ District No. 1, of the City of Laurel, 112ontana, with three-fourths of the entire cost of maintenance anc~ elect.~ical current for the year 1958, was read. It was moved by Rodgers and seconded by Leuthold that this resolution be approved. Upon taking roll call vote, all aldermen present voted ~~Aye'~ and resolution No. 1(}09 was declared passed and approved. RESOLUTION N0. 1013 RESOLUTION N0. 1013, being a resolution levying and assessing all of tha property embraced within special Improvement D~.strict I~To. 80, of the City of laurel, Montana, was read. It was moved by Horning and seconded by Menello that th~.s resolution be approved. Upon taking roll call vote, all aldermen present voted 'Aye", and Resolution No. io13 was declared passed and approved. RESOl~UTION N0. 101. Upon, taking roll call vole, all aldermen present voted ~'Aye~', and Resolution No. 1011.x. was declared passed and approved.
