The minutes of the re~.l~.r mee~in~ of l~ovember 18th were read. Motion was
made by Eb~rsv3.ller and seconded by ~,euthold that the minutes be approved as read.
Motion carried.

Library report for the month of November was presented. Motaon w~ m~d~ by
Horning and seconded by Leuthold that this report be approved. Motion carried.
Report o~ the Polio Judge for the month of November was presented. Motion
was mad~s by Eb~rsviller and ~s~conded by Beslanwi~eh that th3.s r~:port be. approw~e~. Motion carried.
Reports of the Polia~ Chief end the Patrolmen ~r~re presented. Mo~ior~ was
mad. by Leuthold and ~~cor~d~d by Horning that these reports be approved. Motion
carried.
I;etter was react from the Laurel Public Schools asking that a s~re~t be e~zt
in aro~.~nd to the West School for better acoe~s to the building. Motion was made by
Horning and secondad by S;~uthald that this mattar be referred to the b gineer~a
office. Motion carried.
Trea~surer'~ reports for the months of f}ctober and ~Tovc~mb~r were presented; Motion was made by Duff and ~~eonded by Eber~~ill~:r that these reports be approved.

ferring with the City s iri that n~,ighborhood. Mr. Milligan have verbal perm3.s~ion
for the City to remove ~?~e tree. Motion was made by Ruff aril seconded by Horn y

meriting ao that. the City would be in the clear. Motion carried.

Mr. Floyd Bean hid. complained to some of the Council that he did not feel he should pay a double license fey because he had. one business under two roofs.
Motion was made by Ebersviller and seconded by L~u~hoZd th~.t NIr. Been be allowed to
pay only the one license. Motion eas~rie~d with Mr. Rodgers voting '+~to", until he had
checked info the matter mare fully.
Ebers~.~ller inquired as to ~rhether or nod a permit was needed ~o move a
house through town. He way wormed tha-~ application for perm3.t should be made, and a routs mapped out.
Be~la~nwitch brought up the sub~eet of the Western Transit Company Billi~gs-
I;aurel Bux Easa~nent chax~e. Motion was made by Ruff and seconded by Beslanwit~h that
the City Clerk write this company a letter giv.rig them fift~~n days to ~nsWer or
their es~,sement would be discontinued and the signs taken down far individual parki.n.~. Motion carried.
ftiversidr~ Park Cabins was diseu~~~d. Motion eras made by Beslanwitch and
seconded by ~bersv3.11~r that this matter b~ ~~arn~d over to the Park ~ommis~ior~er and
the Park Co~nmj.ttee to report back ~o the City Council not later thin the nit regular
m~etin~. Motion carried.
House at the Sewage Disposal Flant was discussed. After mush diseus~ion,
Mr. Rodgers suggested that nothing be done at this dime, but rather wait and see: what wi
will be done at the Plant.
Rathbun reported on figures bid for ~.0~000 pounds of aluminum sulphate.
Rathbun reported on the price of the b0 s~ree~ sites that we intend to
replace this year. He stated that he had rec~;ived a much lower bid this year. Motion
carri~sd.
Rathbun reported on prices o~ a Pipe-lwcater. He stated that on~* could be
hack for x+250.(10 to ~280.E?0~ and asked permission to get one, Motion was made by
Zauth.old. and seconded by Beslanwitch to allow the En~ine~r~s office to purchase this
item.
R.athbvn asked for ayellow-Tine-marking machine. This to cost in th.e
neighborhood of ~91~.50. Motion way mad. by Ebersviller and seconded. by Rodgers that
this instrument be purchased. Motion carr3~~.
Garbage charge discussed at great length. Mr. gtod~ers reported that he
was to have met with Nh~. DeL~eeuw from Billings who is still int~:re~ted in ~h~ Garba~~
contract. Mr. Rodgers stated that this meeting was to have been at 7:~~ o°elcrck, P.M., but ghat Mr. Deleeuw did not a,rri.ve. Ment3.on was also made that the Eaton Bothers
are in~erest~d in a garbage contract if they e~ty dec3.des to contract the Garbage.

Mr. Bradley reported that the Librarian stated that certain people will
nat return books which are borro~red from the Libt~:~a~y. Mr. Bradley suggested that the Police Department call at the Library once a month for a list of long QvEr-due
books, and that the Police call at the homes for the return of the book.
ClaiYris for Polio, over~~ne was discussed. It was brought to the Council
attention that the c1a3.ms allowed la.~ year were for the one year only. Ho~~v~r, it
was the opinion of the Council that the Policemen wire entitled to this avertime, and motion was made by Beslanwitch and seconded by Menello that the overtime at the
r~.te of ~2.C~0 per hour for a ma~cimurn of 50 hours be allo~red. Motion ~arr~ed.
Mayor Parker requested tY~e appointment of Frances P. Fisher to the office
of ~G'~.ty Treasurer, with the apprr~val of the ~oune3.l, and the appointment to carry
regular pay of City Treasurer, to fi13. the unexpired term of Mrs. Tlsie M. ~.'r~ml, who resigned. Motion was made: by Ebersvil.ler and seconded by Rodgers that this
~,ppoin~nent be approved No Deputy to be mppointed at this times and City Clerk
authorized to hire part ~im~ office help. Motion carx ed.
Mayor Parker reported on hip day with the Garbage Truck, and ~tat~d that
he felt much be~tt~r service could b~ g3.ven i~ here were three men on the truck. It
was suggested that s letter be written to the b~zsiness places which have bid caxdboard boxes, and ask that these b~: crushed or cut up to make it easier to pick up.
