~ Special. meting of the pity council of the ~3.ty of ~a~rel, P~ntana~
eras held in the Coun~i~. Ghambers~ and was called to order by Mayor J. J. Parker, a~G
7:00 o~eloek, P.M., on Friday, November C1, 1958.
This meeting way called for the e~res~ purposes o~ di~cu~siri~ dam Ehrlich
and the Garbage ~3tuati~n; Mrs. Plsie M. ~'reml~ the pity 3'r~a.~urer; and the amendment
to the License Ordinance.

In the Sam Ehrlich situation, Mayor Parker quoted Se~~ion G of the warkir~~
a~r~ement, and read the written schedule prepared on his act3viti~s during the day. Alpo he read Qer~~.in other char~e~ made by the ta~pay~rs. Mr. Ehrl~eh den3.~d ~h~se
charges. After much diseus~ion, during which time Mr. Ehrlich dad chance to defend
hi.mself~ Mr. Parker called on the council for de~i~ion, In order to ~~:t a motion
on ~h~ fl.oar~ Mr. Rodgers told Sam main that he was to report those persons wha did
not have the regulation Gart~ag~ Cana end the Council would pre~a char~~s. Mr.
Ehrlich wa.~ told that he must stick to the schedule that was drawn up for him and that if h~ had extra time during the d~y~ that he should take the garbage ti^tiak back to th~a
barn, het another trucks and go and pick up some o~ t'he other trash th~.t the garbage
truck can not handle. P2r. Rodgers then made the motion to suspend dam Ehrl3.eh for
thirty days wa.thout pEay to think it over. aeeond~d by ~eu~hold. ~or~e of tho~~ pr~sen~
thought that this was too severe ~ pen~].tg, and roZ1. call v~t~ was held with the
following resultss Rodgers Yep; Leuthold, Yes; ~b~rsviller~ No; Menello~ No; Ruff,
No; Fre~bury~ l~oy Beslanwiteh, Rio; and the motion was de~~at~d.
Motion way then made by M'en~llc~ that Mr. Ehrlich be suspended for fift~e
da4Y~ without pays and placed on probation for a period of thirt~* days thereafter, az~d
his work checked ~o see whether or nat they d~six~±s of the council wire being eompl3.ed
with. Seconded by B~~lan~ri~ahi and motion carried. This susp~n~ion to b~ effective
star~in~ Monday, November 2}~~ 19 8.
There was diacu~~ion ss to the license ordinance. Ater much di~au~~ion of
this m~.tter, (}rd3~ance No. 532 was pr~~ented a~ follows

dealar~d passed ~,nd adopted..
Mayor Parlor reported on his talk w3.th the pity Tr~a~tarer. In this
connection, her letter of resi~n~tion way read by the ~3.~ty Clerk. Motion was made by Beslanwitch ~.nd seconded by Mencllo and ftod~er~ that this re~ignatic~n be acaept~d.
Motion carried.
In this connections Mr. Bradley reported that he ~.ad been in telephone con-
v~rsation with Mr. Norman Zimm~rmarl, sate F.acaminer~ arsd eerta3.n prc~~edtiar~s mint be
follo~red, and an audit of the books mot nec~~$ary under the circ~uns~Gane~s. The !~i.ty
~7.erk to write a letter to the City Treasurer, ~ski.ng for a ~t~.ternen~ regarding the a~oun~ of funds in all bank, a list o:~ the securities for which she is respon~ible~

Mayor Parker sated that he was not prepared to appo3.nt a new ~3.ty ~.'re~.s~ar~r
a~ this time' but rather would do this at the next regular council m~et3rig an
December 2, 1958. ~

motion was duly made and seconded that the meeta.x~~ be adjourned. Motion carried.
