J. Parker, at 7t3~ o ~ clock, P.M., on 'Tue~sd~y~ November 18' 19 8. Upon roll call the foll.owin~ alderraien answered presents Tra D. Rodgers E. H. Ebersviller J. E. Freeburg A. E. Leuthold John Beslanwiteh Jake Ruff ftoy Horning Walter Menellea p~3.nutes of the previous meeting w~r~ read. Motican was made by Ruff and seconded by Hor~.n~ that the minutes b~ approved as read. Motion aarrisd. Lowe11 reported on ~ heating unit at the Sewage Di~po~al Plant. Motion eras made by Ruff and secanded by ~bersviller that thc~ City Buy an overhead Y~ea~er and that it should be iristall~d. Motion earri~d. Mr. Leu~hold reported on the police car insurances and the ear in general. H~ stated that he felt that the gar was in wnrkin~ order yep. ~.lso ghat the ear needed some new tires. B~~lanwi~ch had checked on the insurance policy. The li~bili~y is covered on the blanket coeerag~s. The pr~mi rate is the same as any business car. Mr. L~u~hold sated that the comrnitt~e felt that the price of $1~2.fl~ for col7.i~ion ins~arice way a very high price for this insurance. Mr. Bradley r~port~d on the insvranc~ co-insurance clauses. Be$l.anwitch r~com~nended that we drop the in~uranee and accept the ~1~0.00 deductibl.~ insurance, He made this 3.n thy; ferm of a mo~ion~ s~~ond~d by L~uthold. Motion carried. Mr. Ebersviller reported that he had tal~c~d wa.th the Police Ch3~f 3.n r~~ard to the Poli.c~ Equipment. After much discussion, motion was made by Freeburg end seconded by Ebersviller that the City bray the Polies Caps.. Motion carri~.d, with Rodgers voting '~No". Report o~ ~h~ -~'oli.ce Jude for the month of E~ctober was presented. Motion was made by B~sl.anwitch and seconded by Leu~hold that the report be approved. Motion parried. Clerk~~ Trial balance for the month of October was presented. Motion was made by Be~lanwiteh axed seconded by Ruff that the repar~ b~ approved. Motion Carried. OADSNAN~ ISO. ~3~,,. Motion carried upon taking roll gall vote, with all alderrr~en present voting TMAy~~. Mr. Gibbs from Black & Veatch appeared before the Council in regard to the Sewage Disposal Pl~.nt. Mr. Rathbun gave a report. Mr. Gibbs quoted facts and fi~ur~s at ler~th. Federal Aid was mentioned. After lengthy reports, motion way made by Be~lanwiteh and seconded by ~.euthold that ate follow ~zp this Federal Aid program with ~.uthority delegated tc~ the City ~gin~er to get this information. Mr. Parker s~Gated that so~ethin~ was goi~,~ to have to be dons about tl~e Qarbage Situation, and dam ~hrlieh. A ~ritt~n report of certain observations of the Garbage Truck and its operators was read by the ~.ty Clerk. Mr. Jim Crvnnels appeared before the Council ~o report that the V.F.W. was charged Garba~;~ for the~.r fourteen lets' but w~ not gett3~~ the ~erviae. After di.scu~sion o~ this matter, emotion was made by Rodgers acid seconded by MeneYlo that the. V.F.W. be nat3fied to put up the r~g~lation garbage aana and they would het thy. service. In any events the chax~g~s ~o remain the game. Mot~.on carried. Mr. Parker reported on ~hes result$ of his t~7k with ~7.sie M. Tremis the City TrEa~ures~. Mr. Rodger$ stated that he thought the other Cl~rk~ in the office should have her extra pip for doing her extra work. City' C'l.erk read a 1e~ter of application from P~r~. Mildred Boelen. Mot~.on way made by Ebersviller and seconded by Ruff that th3.~ letter be placed on fi1~. Motion carried. Mr. Beslanw3.tch bro~ht up the subject off' getting a light at the corner of Fourth and Ninth. Mr. Bradley ~,ras asked ~o draw tip an amendment to the Licer~e Qrdinance for the Special. Meting on Friday e~rening. Minutes of the City Council of Laurel Mr. Rathbun stated that the annual Sewer and Water i~Torks school is be3~ig held in Bozeman, ar~d si,~~ed permi~~ian to send three min to attend this ~achool. Jam Bare, Joe Nicholas, and Alex ~fg~el. There was discussion on whither cr not to send Mr. Vogel, as he is not a member of the regular eity employee, but only works dur3.s~g vacation time. Motion was made by M~n~11o end ~second~d by Horning ghat this trip be al.low~d for these t2~ree men. Motion carried with B~slanwitch, ~eebury, and Rodgers voting t1No". Where being no f~.r~her bu~ine~s to come before the council at ~hi.~ time, motion was dimly made and s~cond~d that the meeting be adjourned.
