A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
--Rob went over the preliminary budget for the coming year and asked
for comments from the committee.
--Rob stated that there is still $950 in this years budget to be used
for curb and gutter. It.was the committee's feeling to go ahead and
put in ~much curb and gutter as we can for the $950. Rob to ask for
informal bids.
--There was discussion_regarding combining the caretaker's job with
the park.department and making.it a full-time position year round.
The salary would be split up 60% cemetery, 20% parks and 20% water
and sewer system.
Motion by Ernie Davis.to recind the board's previous decision and keep
Donnie Nelson on as caretaker until something can be worked out with
the union as far as fitting this job description into the contract,
seconded by Lyle Jones. Motion carried.

--Discussion regarding the weeds in the roadway at the cemetery. Ernie
to get something to kill the weeds.
--Rob reported that someone had bought a spruce tree and donated it'to
the Mike McMullen family in memory of Tanya McMullen. They would like
it planted at the cemetery by their daughter's grave. The tree wouId
be in line with the others. It was the feeling of the board that since
it was the same kind of tree and would fit in line with the others that
they could see no problem. Ernie to pick the tree up from the Billings
Nursery.
--Rob read a letter from Billings Monument requesting permission to
replace a damaged headstone in the Catholic Cemetery belonging to
Dorothy Miner for the Norstrum children. The board felt that the
City cannot be responsible for all headstones that become chipped or
damaged. The only time the City would be responsible is if the care-
taker accidentally breaks a headstone. Donnie Nelson stated that he
did not damage the headstone when digging a grave nearby. Sharon to
write a letter to Billings Monument
from the softball
Ernie to check into
informing them of our decision.
