Members present: Chairman Norman Orr Lee Barndt Sharon Herman O~her's present: · Ervin Wood , Lloyd Shay, Frank Smith A quorum (3 or more) present the followlnE action was taken by the committee: l) yDiscussion regarding raising the price of cemetery lots. Co__mmittee ~_~~ recommends the following: ~~ Adult graves for people living inside the City .... $200.00 ~.~'~ \, Adult graves for people living outsi'de the City... 250.00 ~ Opening & Closing 100.00 -- double on weekends and holidays " Baby graves for people living inside the City ..... 100.00 Baby graves for people living outside the City .... 125.00 M · Opening & Closing 50.0O -- double on weekends and holidays Opening & Closing for cremations 50.00 -- double on weekends and holidaYs ' orion by Ervin Wood to approve these rates, seconded by. Lloyd Shay. Motion carried. 2) Discussion regarding the opening of another section in the cemetery. The current sections are almost full. ~Motion by Ervin Wood to open the first 4 rows in Section for ~ the veterans, seconded by Frank Smith. Motion carried. (Start ~ opening the south end of row 4°) /Motion by Frank Smith to open Section B for civilian burials, i~.~//seconded by Ervin Wood. Motion carried. ~ Motion by Lloyd Shay to allow beveled (as in Section G ) or flat L headstones in Section "B", seconded by Frank Smith. Motion carried. ~ ~'~otion by Frank Smith that lots be sold consecutively, seconded ~.~by Ervin Wood. Motion carried. ~ o"Committee also recommends that the engineer stake out the new sections on both sides of the curb -- first 4 rows of Section "J" and all of Section "B" (lot sizes are 4'x8' actual size and 3'x6' openings). Discussion regarding paving the roads in the cemetery. Committee will check on funding to see if gas tax monies or perpetual care fund could be used. There was also discussion about laying some kind of mat down before paving to keep the weeds from breaking up the pavement.
