about the appro~unate eo~t of prnpos~d W~.t~r Maia~ S.T.D. No. 87. The G3.ty Engine~r~
g~.ve~ her an appro~i.mate cost of ~~.0~ per foot providing both sides of the str~~t partici-
pated i~ this water ms3n. ~'h~n the question erne ~.p as to the City~~ share of the cost
of this propm~ed water main. Motion was made by Eber~viller Dui $~eonded by Ruff t~h~,t this matter be deferred until we have had a chance to confer Frith Mr. Lathar?a as to wh~.~
~wnd this water main could be used to pay the City~s approximate cost of $2~1~4.00.

Mr. T~s~ne Mahan ~.ppear~d before the City Council ~tatir~~ that he ob3ected ~o
the cost o~ ~2.5~ per dog that the City eharge~ for dog tax. He stated that ~e dial nmt
feel that anyone who had a. fennel and kept his dogs at hone should b~ asked ~o pa~ay this

Mr. Harold Van Nice app~~r~d b~fcrr~ the Council and ~t~ted that he hid ptzrahas~d
the Albert s property, and would like p~rmi~sicrn to barricade the ~tr~et ~rhi3e cutting
dcnsn some bid tr~e~ on the property. He was advised to apply at the er~ineer ~ ~ off'i.ce for a per~i.t~ and to get barra.aad~s from the City, and Maul .away the debris. He also
reported that s~v~ral tr~~~ on Mary Whi.~~7.y~s properly were definitely a hazard. He asked
that these tries be removed. NSr. Parlor stated that Mr. Rat~ibun ~d him~~lf would go and
look at these trees to see r~hat can. be done.
Mr. Jamey mixan appeared before the council d asked whether or not the City
had re~aehed a decision as to selling Lots Eleven (11} through Fifte~an (l~~ in Block Three (3j~ West Laure]. Subdivision. After discu~~ion~ Mr. T~~ebury r~commend~d that ~he~ Ci~~r
hold off end nod se11 these lints until something d~fir~i.tel~ eras decided. Horr~3.ng ~~a~ed
that 2~~ tho~.ght the City should keep these lo~~. Per. Parker ~h~n stated that it eras the

Rathbun reported on the cost of storm drainage grates. He stated ghat a. co~apa~y
in Tenn~s~~e had quo~e~d a price of ~6.0,~ each for this first 2~ of~ these grat~~~ aid ~~.0
~aeh th~r~after. Mo~ic~~. was made by Mc~r~ello and seconded ~ka~ by Ruff th~.t w~ purchase
so~n~ of these grates. ~o~ion Carried.
Rathbun read a r~c~n endation Por improvements at the Se~wa~e Disposal. Plant. Motion was made by F~odg~rs and s~aonded by Leuthold that this recommend~.tion be accepted,
and that the Engineer be given the authority to contact Federal authorit3ea~ to det~rmin~
whether or not we can get ar~r moneg for such project. l~otian ~arri~d.
'Rathbun reported on proposed fire ~o~ea~ ~howin~ a snap, acid r~rco~€nended tl~a~
the City Council accept this proposal. Motion was made by ~~uthold and ~~canded bar Rodgers that this recc~mend~tion b~ approved. Motion Carried.
R~.thbun suggested that the City apply for funds for ~ng3.r~eering t0 plan for a
new General storm ~~w~r, so th~.~ the e~gin~:ering co~a.I.d be p~.i.d for. Hey ~t~ted that the
pla~,n~ could be ~aad~ and if the election was de~eatc~da the ei~y would not. be obligated.
