J. Parker, at 7x30 a~cl4ck, P.M., on Tae~da3r, Nov~n~ber 1959. Upon roll ca11, the follo~'ing a7.dermen an~w~red presentr John Beslan~ri.teh Henry K~.iser Jake Ruff Steve Romees Henrys Alex Cecil Navy Hc~r~an K. Frank Th.e minutes of the previous ~xieeting ~t~r~ read. Motion was made by Ruff send seconded by Romee that the minu~~s be approved a~ read. Motion carried. Mayor Parker asked for a report on the committee appaint~d to inve~~i~~te Kin ~lson~s sidewalk. Jake Ruff reported on this, and ~ta~ed that the eom~nitt~e felt that the City did have a definite obligation there. Dick Throm also reported o~ this. after discussion, motion w~.~ made by Besl~n~tch that the City re-Puce Got of this sidewalk, and cost to b~ split betw~~n the City and K~rui~th C}lson. As there was nm second to this motion, it died on the floor. Tt was. the opanimn of the council that Mr. Qlson should be notified to put the sidewalk in a proper cond3.tzon, and that the City had refused his motion to r~plaee this far him. This matter way then ref~rr~d to the Gity Attorneys and the City Engineer to inform Mr. Olsen of this fact. Parker a.~ked for a report of the eommitt~e on Riverside Park. Mr. Ruff made a report on this matter. Leases were presented ~i~n.ed by the American ~egi0n G7.ub, the Rifle Qub and the Rod and Gun flub, eating therein that these clubs would pay for the fire insurance. After diseu.ssion, motion was made by Ruff and seco~d~d by Henry that the resp~ct3.ve Clubs b~ billed for their sham of this insurane~. Motion cs~rro~d/ Tt was reported that ~Ir. Yovetich had. paid the ba].~nce due on the cabinsat Riverside Park, ~d motion was then made by Ruff and seconded by Henry that Mr. Yovetich b~ given are ~xt~ntion of dime ~o move these cabins out. Motion carried. On the question of the gas billy a~ riverside Fark. There i$ to be ~ meter installed at the Rod and Gun Club, and motion was made by Ruff and s~eflnded by Navea, that the flub a b~ charged a ~1~.00 per ~noMth flat rate ~an~il the teeter i~ 3.nsta~l.led. Motion carried. Parker asked for a report of the committee appointed to settle the wage question. Beslanw3tch reported that the City Colancil could nit give any wage increase. until the first of July, 196. He stated that when Mr.~Freebury~ Gh~.ireaan of the finance Commi~t~~ returned, that the investigating committee would reecu~mend such an action. Parker reported on the Fifth Avenue Bridge. Parker sand Throw to work on the bridge dial ~n Railroad Street. Jewess Huff appeared befeare the council to a~~t fir a repmr-~ ~n t~~ b~3.ldi~g that he had for s~].e. S~~ve Romee reported that he had talked to Mr. Rodgers and he stated that he ~rould accept 1~0.~0. Motion was made by Ramee and seconded by Beslanwi~ch that 3n the future, s tools purch~~ec~ for a~ departmer~~ be purchased by the City, acid tools to be stenciled with the name of the +~C`3.ty of La~rrel. Nave stated that he had. had a eomplain~ that the Qarbage h~.d nod been picked up at the Hubert ~nlalton residence for three years. H~ stated that he h~,d o~f~rr~d build them a regul~.timn rack. Ruff sta-~~d that Mrs. Russell h~.d complained about the Garbage eharg~ and the insect con~ral charge on her 32 lets. Parker reported that Dewey Nunn is doing to be tYie new Sewage Aisposal Plat Op~rater with Alex Vogel as assistant. Reverend Giles has ~t~.te~d that the Church is going to build 3.n the sprin~~ anti he requested that the City not use that land as a sk~.tir~g mink this year as the ground would b~ saturated.
