Cemetery Board met at the cemetery to discuss the planting ~f
new trees. The following recommendations were made:
Sec~ K - One tree can be planted in the southeast corner
and one in the northeast corner.
Sec. B - Since some trees have already been planted on the
south edge, it was decided to stay in line with
these trees and start the burials 7 ft. from the
'curb. Trees will also be allowed on the north
edge with burials being 8 ft. from the curb,
Sec.' G - The 'first row in this section is not big enough
for adult graves, and is to be used 'for baby.graves
· and cremations. I.t was'decided to plant trees in
the southeast and northeast corners of this row.
The City Engineer will measure and deterlnine the best possible
location for all trees.
The rodent problem at the cemetery was also discussed. The
caretaker stated that gopher pellets have been placed in the
holes but do not seem to be doing any good. They are making
holes in the cemetery that could be dangerous if someone were
to step in them. Several other methOds of control were discussed
but-nothing decided at this time. The County Extension Office
the Fish & .Wildlife, Animal Damage Control, and the Yellowstone
County Animal Control Office have all been contacted. There
definitely is a problem here and should be taken care of, as
soon as possible.
Meeting adjourned at 5:10 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Sharon ~e~-~an
Deputy City Clerk
