A quorum ($ or more) present the fo/lowing action was taken by
the committee:
The Board discussed the vandalism that has taken place at the
cemetery recently.
It was reported that Mr. & Mrs. Robert Smith have offered to
lock the gates at the cemetery every night. We would have to
find someone who could unlock the gates in the morning. Joe
Bradley stated that the Knights of Columbus had offered to help
several years ago and may still be interested. Joe Bradley to
check with the KCs.
Ernie Davis reported that the bobcat at the cemetery is just
about worn out and he doesn't know how much longer it will last.
After discussion, motion was made by Lloyd Shay, seconded by.
Frank Smith, to recommend buying a new backhoe for the cemetery.
Motion carried.
Discussed the possibility of buying some additional ground to
the north of the cemetery. Lloyd Shay to talk with Ike Schessler
to see if he is willing to sell and how much per acre he would
want.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this
time, the meeting was adjourned at 5 p.m.
