Discussion regarding the purchase of a backhoe for the cemetery. Bids were opened
and read aloud at the September 15th council meeting and referred to the Cemetery
Board for reco~endatioh. ~The bids were as follows:
Hall Perry Machinery John Deere
Western Plains Machinery Case
Ford New Holland Ford

Mr. Schreiner and Mr. Parker both gave a presentation on their bid. After further
discussion, motion was made by Wally McGee and seconded by Lyle Jones that the
board recommend buying the John Deere backhoe from Hall Perry Machinery and that
the backhoe be used only at the cemetery except in an emergency. Motion carried.
The Financing of the backhoe to be referred to the budget/finance committee.
Discussion regarding looking into digging a well at the cemetery. Ernie Davis
to check into this and get a cost estimate.
