Upcn roll call the following aldermen answered present: Jake Ruff Steve Romee Cecil Nave Henry Kaiser G.L.Gass Roy Edwards Harold Wilson Kenneth G1son This being the time and place advertised for the opening of bids on the proposed new Sewage Disposal Plant, Nlayor Beslanwitch entertained a motion to dispense with the reading of the minutes temporarily, to take care of this matter. Rudy Groshelle appeaxed before the Council to ask ghat could be done about the water line requested by the ou-~side water users west of town. He st~.ted that the cost quoted to these persons eras 9~21,0~'~.~n and he felt that this was too high. Bradley - informed this group that the longer they wait, the more the cost. After much discussions this matter was turned over to the City engineer and the water coimnittee and a meeting was called for next TnTednesday, July 26, i96i. Ruff as chairman of the Finance ~ommi~t~e was asked to report on ~h~ wage raise situation and whether or not the Committee had reached a dif~'esrent ~.greement. Ruff reported that the committee would recommend raises in the following mounts: Water Plant - 5¢ per hour wade adjustment plus 11¢ per hour raise, each based on 184 hours per month. Office help and 5~wage Disposal F1ant- 11¢ per hour based on 176 hours per month. Library Board recommended for librarian, 11¢ per hour based on 15b hours per mo~.th. Asst. Librarian raised from 1.15 per hour to ~'1.~6 per hour. Janitress, raise of 21¢ per hour from Library and lI¢ from other departments. Grog, Fox, and Michael, a raise of 5¢ wage ad~ust~nent end 11¢ per hour. Ebersviller, Sr i appeared before the council to protest the sewer charge on his water bi11 and also that of the Lutheran Church. He feels ~ha~ them should b~ a maximum sewer charge, ba~~d on the yearly average water bilk. After discussion, this matter was turned over to the sewer cornmitte~. This comm3.tt~~ is ~o meet with a committee from the ch~.rches and schools. Edwards stated that the auxiliary police have permission from the Federal communications C 3.~sion to have two way radios installed in their own private cars.
