Laurel Park Board Meeting
Started 5:33 PM by Irv Wilke, Rick Herr, Jon Rutt, Evan Bruce, Phyllis Bromgard, Richard Klose, Matt
Wheeler, and Mayor Dave Waggoner.
Public Comment:
None
Approved minutes from April 7, 2022 and May 5, 2022 meetings Evan motioned, Rick 2nd.
New Business:
Nomination of Board Chair and Co-Chair: Rick nominated Irv Wilke to Chair and Jon Rutt to Co-Chair.
Phyllis 2nd and both were approved to serve.
Old Business:
Reservation System is up and running for Riverside Park. Cost is neutral as renter pays fees for credit
card and website cost added on to the rental. Other buildings can be added to rent out once rates and
rules are approved by city council.
Tennis Court update: None
Dirt Track update: None
Riverside Park Update: Picnic tables should be finished in next few weeks.
American Legion Building at Riverside Park: None
Pool Update : Cleaned up and checked for leaks. Leaked a foot overnight, drained and shuttered for
now. Discussion of possible splash park.
Lions Club Closet at JC Hall: Door has lock and they are using fridge. All Ok for them championing
building.
American Legion Baseball Lease: Ok to city council.
Other Items:
Historical listing for Riverside Park is slowly moving along.
We agreed to meet on July 7, 2022, for the next meeting.
