September 18, 1962
A regular meeting of the pity Council of the City of Laur~1, Montana, was
held in the council Chambers and was called to order by Mayor John ~~sZanwitch at 7:30 o'clock, P. M., on Tuesday, September 18~ 1962.
Upon taking roll ca11, the following aldermen answered presents
Jaeob Ri2ff S-~eve Romee Henry Kaiser Roy Edwards
Harold Wilson Cecil Navy F~enneth Qlson herald L. Gass
The minutes of the pr~svious meeting wire read. Motion w~.s made by Ruff and
s~eond~d by Olson that the minutes be approved. Motion carried.
Certain reports for the month of August w~r~ presented for approval. as follows;
Cash report, Trial balance, and the Health Officer~s report. Motion was made by. Ruff and
s~cond~d by Olson that these xeport~ b~ approved. Motion carried.
Letter was read that the `~~ity Gouneil wisheu to be sent to pungan Mc~aul~y,
regarding easement for widening the street.
James Thomson, Angelo De~arlm, Paul G~efle and Robert Campbell. app~a.~ed
before the Council to state that they would not accept the job`d.one on ~.ld~r Avenue. Much, much discussion on this and the City Engineer reported on what had besen done
and. what he intended to do. Mayor Beslanwitch stated that the street would be: fixed.
. Chief Gaston reported that the route assign€~d temporarily to the school busses
was w orking out. very we11, and would be eon~inu~d until further nod cc~. He stated that
any four-wad stops wire not necessary.
Edwards reported on the south side on Woodland by Rai3.road wtreet, that has
begin blacktvpped~ but that about !~0' is very rough. I~ was ea~'plained that the property
owners there did not wish to participate.inT~he cost. It was suggested`that ~h~;~*ts
and Ingraham b~ contacted in this regard.
Gerry bass asked pPrmissian to leave the state. Motion was made by Kaiser
and seconded by Edwards that permission be granteel. ~~otion carried.
After discussion on ~he~ Ungefucht :sidewalk, motion was made by Ruff end
seconded by Nacre that the pity mock out two squares of sideway and place 'the :Forms,
the property owner to furnish the. cement. -
Beslanwitch reported on the meeting at Missoula, cif the Montane Municipal:

F~eslanwitch stated that h~ would suggest another clean-up w~~k some time in
f?etober. Motion was made by Ruff and seconded by Edwards to this ef~ec-~. Motion carried:
r` There being no further business to come before the ~oune~l at this time, motion
was duly made and seconded that the meeting be adjo~.rned. Motion carried.
