A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken by the committee:
There was discussion regarding a cemetery lot owned by Gertrude Gilles Burke.
She had intended to sell this lot to a Carl Weis for $200. Upon investigation by
the Public Works Director it was discovered that there was inadequate room for
any kind of a burial in this lot. Committee recommends buying this lot back
from Gertrude Gilles for $200.00 which is the going price for cemetery lots at
this time.
Motion by Lloyd Shay that the City charge a fee of $25.00 when we sell a
cemetery lot for individuals who have purchased lots in our cemetery and wish
to resell them. This fee would cover our costs including issuing new deeds
to both parties. Seconded by Lee Barndt. Motion carried.
Sharon Herman stated that Leona Philhower has requested that the City vacate
the southeast corner of Section "B" where her lots are so they can plant a
tree here. Motion by Lloyd Shay not to vacate this corner since this section
already has designated tree planting areas and this corner can be used for
creamations. Seconded by Lee Barndt. Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 3:40 P.m.
