HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Minutes 12.03.1963Minutes of the City Council of Laurel ~~cember 3, 1963 A regular meeting of the City Council of the City o~ Laurel, Montana was held in the Council Chambers and was called to order by Mayor John Beslan- witch at 7:3t? otclock, P. rY., on Tue~d~.y, December 3, 1963• Upon taking ro11 call, the following aldermen answered present: Jacob Ruff E. H. Ebersviller, Sr. _ Cecil Nave Kenneth Olson ~~illiam J. Palm Eddie Leuthold Minutes of the previous meeting were read. Motion was made by Ruf~:arad seconded by Nave that the minutes be approved. Motion carried. ~ibr~.ry report way presented for approval. Motion was made by ~bersvil- ler and seconded by Palm that this report b~ approved. Motion carried. Reports of the patrolmen were presented. Notion was made by Olson and seeonded by Ruff that these reports be approved. Motion carried. Official bond of City Engineer John J. Daly, was presented. Motion was made by Ruff and seconded by Leutholci that this bond be approved. Motion carried. ~bersviller sported on the progress made by the committee on the insur- ance problem. Ruff reported that, as yet, ne~thing had begin decided on the purcha~~: of the truck for the backhoe. Thy eommitt~:e was not satisfied with the performance of this truck. Motion eras made bar Olsen and seconded by Ruff that this matter be refereed hack to the committee previously appointed. City Clerk to write to Rice Motors in Great Falls and ask to in~p~et this truck. Ruff reported that the committee appointed on the purchase of the pump had purchased only one, aid the other to wmit until next budget time. Mayor B~sZanwitch reported that h~ had talked with thy, cr~unty commissio- ners about developing a Park outside the City Limits. The Mayor reported on the water and sewer school at Bozeman.
