PLACE OF MEETING City Hall
Chairman Norman Orr
· Albert Ehrlick , .qhmron Herman
3oe Bradley , DAve Michaels
A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
Joe Bradley read a letter from a Lynn A. Eyer Whitman regarding four cemetery lots that
her father purchased back in the 1940's. Her brothsr was buried in one of the lots in
1945 and the other 3 lots are still vacant. Her parents were divorced in 1968 and her
father died in 1974 and was buried in Sidney, Mt. Mrs. Whitman cannot find a deed for
these lots and would like to know ~ her mother could be buried in one of these lots when
she dies and if a new deed can be issued in the name of Lynn A. Eyer Whitman.
Joe stated that after reading through all the paperwork that Mrs. Whitman sent that he
does not see any problem with doing this as long as we tag the lots as to what has
transpired just in case anyone should ever come back with the original deed to these lots.
Motion by Albert Ehrlick to transfer ownership of these lots from Chet Eyer to his daughter
Lynn A. Eyer Whitman and issue a new deed. Seconded by Norman Orr. Motion carried.
Joe stated that he is working on drawing up a new deed which would include restrictions on
transfers. This would allow transfers to be made only by the City and would prohibit
private transfers without the city's knowledge. Joe stated that he would also work on
drawing up an affidavit of lost deed.
A list of projects that need to be done at the ~emetery was presented to the committee.
Albert suggested that this list be prioritized for budget purposes.
Lloyd Shay reported that he talked to the American Legion regarding their lots at the
cemetery. He stated that it is there desire to contine East in Section "J" rather than
North into another section. Cemetery board will keep this in mind when they open the
next section.
Meeting adjourned at 5:10 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Sharon Herman
