M. on Tuesday, Oetober 15' 1963. Upon taking roll call the following aldermen answered present: Jacob Ruff Roy Edwards L. H. Eb~rsviller~ Sr. Kenneth Olson Gerald Gass Cecil Nave William J. Palm Eddie Leuthold 'The minutes of the pr~vit~us me~?ting were read. Mahon way made by Nave a.~d ~econd~d by Eb~r~vill~r that the minutes be approved a~ read. Motion carried. Letter was read from the Fromberg Lions Club thanking the Mayor and Mem- bers of the Council for the use of the swimming pool during the summer. Request from the Billings Mounted Quadrille for the use of Riverside Hall for New Yearns Eve way read. Motion was made by 01son and seconded by fluff that the req~e5t b±~ granted, Motion carried. Letter was read from the Agency of Givil Def~n~e stating that we were free to go ahead and advertise for bids for the siren. Resolution No. I2lt5 was thin pre- sen~ed, as follows: RESOLUTION N0. 12l~,~ RESOLUTION N0. 1215, BEING A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FAR THE PURCHASE OF A CIVIL DEFENSE SIREN ACCORDING TD THE SpECIFICATI0N5 OUTLINID IN THE CIVIL DEFENSE REQUIREME~ITS~ way presented. Motion was made by Ruff and se- conded by Olson that the resolution be approved. Upon taking roll call vote, all aldezMmen present voted ~~Aye"'' and said resolution was declared passed and adopted. RESOLUTION N0. 12lt6 RESOLUTION N0. 12~i6 BEING A RESOLUTION OF TNT`EIdTTON TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) O1VE THOLT~AND GALLON PAR MINUTE (1 000 GAL.) PUMPER B0 OSIER EQUIPMENT, HdSE CARRIER, AND NECESSARY F?RE EQUIPMENT, was pr~semted. Motion way mad~s by Olson grid seeanded by Ebersv311er that this resolution be adopted. Upon taking ra13 call vote, all aldermen present vated "'Aye", and said resolution was declared passed anfl adopted. Kenneth H ageman appeared before the Council to ask that a 12" meter and tai be allowed on the high school water line in place of the 3/1~"' one which is al- 1o~r~±d. After much discussion as to wno should pay for the aneter~ motion was made by Palm and seconded by Ga.~~ that the meter be put in and the question of whQ should-pay for i~ should come up ~.t a l~.ter date. Motion carried. Meyer Harris Archie Larson, 'udalter Reiter and Merritt Williams appeared before tae Council to discuss an insurar~e program. Motican was made by Ruff and seco:~d~d by Leuthold that the Mayor appoint an agent of ree~rd 'to work with the ix;sL~r~nc~ cnanmi~tee. Motion carried. The Mayor then appointed. the Harris Agency as agent of Reco~°d. Edwards reported on the appaintrrentg to be made by the Civil Defense Com- mit~tee . Garbage commi°tte~ announced the week of No~rember 1~, 1963, ~,s a fall clearz- up creek. Nave asked for a little more time to work on the budget end of the gar- bage situation. Palm announced that the backhoe committee would. like to recommend th~.t the backhae b~ repaired instead of purchasing; a rnew one. Price given as ~.pprc~.~i- mately ~1~,C~8Q.C0. It way also suggested that the City Engineer be sent to Great Falls to lock at a truck there. Motion way m~.de b~ Leuthold and s~:conded by Ebers- v311er that the recommendation of the ~oammittee be acc~~ted. Motion carried. Leu~hold spoke on behalf of the J. C.~s who desire to have permission to Flan a warming but at the new skatir~~ rink. They will scalicit funds or offer labor or and kind of help. Motion was made by Ruff and seconded by Name tY~at the J, C.'s be givers p~rm3.ssinn to go ahead with their plans. Motion carried.. Motion was made by Ruff and seconded by Minutes of the City Council of Laurel Ebersviller that these repor~~ be approved. Motion carriEd.
