M.~ on Tuesday, Qctob~r 1, 1963 . Upon taking ro11 call, the following aldermen answered present: Jacob Ruff E. H. Ebersviller, Sr. Cecil Nave Gerald Gass Ec1 Leuthold William J. Palm Kenneth Olson Roy Edwards The minutes of the prev3.ous meeting were read.. Motion was made by Eber~viller and seconded. by Ruff that the minutes be approved as read. Mot3.on carried. This being the time and place advertised for the opening of the bids on a new City Barn, the City Clerk was asked to open these bids in the order of their appearance, which she proceeded to do as follow s Wells Bros. CCIIVTSTRUCTION ~+Thereupon the Mayor recessed the meeting for fifteen minutes for the cQUncil to study these bids. Upon re-convening the meeting, Ruff made the rec- ommendation that the bids be given more study until Thursda~~ October 3rd. Mo- tion was then made by Leuthold and seconded by Lbersviller that these bids be referred to the Finances and Pzxrchasing commi~G~ees, along with the City Engineer, with power to act. Motion carried. Ebersviller as chairman of the committee to investigate the insurance reported that the committee felt we could save money by putting this in5uranee out for bids, but that this mater needed further study. Motion carried. Librar~r repor was presented for approval. Motion was made by ~bersviller and seconded by Leuthold that this report be approved. Motion carried. Leiter was read from the Volunteer Fire Department conceria3.ng the re- si~nation of Waldo Peterson, who has been transferred to Billings. Motion was made by Olson and seconded by Ebersviller that phis resignation be accepted. Motion carried. Motion carried. Reports of the Police Judge and the Patrolmen were presented for ap- proval. Motion was made by Qlson and seconded by Edwards that these reports be approved. Motion carried. Aldermen Ruff was asked to give a report on the legislative Committee of the Montana Municipal League. The Mayor asked for the Counci3~s official approval of the United Fund Drive. Motion was made by ~lson<~~~nd ~ecanded by Nave that the City Council. support the drive to the fullest capacity possible. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Council at this session, motion was duly made and seconded that this meeting be ad3ourned. Mo- tion carried.
