The committee had a request from the Pastor of Grace Bible Church
to hold their Easter morning service at the cemetery. He would
like to use a tent or windbreak as shelter and they would use an
open or undeveloped area of the cemetery for the service.
Discussion by the committee and they felt there was no problem as
long as they stay away from the graves. Motion by Albert Ehrlick
to allow Grace Bible Church to use the cemetery for their Easter
service if they keep away from the graves, seconded by Lloyd Shay.
Motion carried.
Discussion regarding the Veteran's section of the cemetery. Lloyd
stated that it took approximately 50 years to fill the four rows in
the old vets section. We opened the new vets section three years
ago and the first row is almost filled. Lee stated the reason for
this is that the World War II vets are getting up there in age.
Lloyd suggested that we increase the new vets section by two rows.
Cathy stated that we only have five graves left to sell in Section
B before we move into this section where the vets are located. If
we are going to set aside additional rows, we need to do it now.
Motion by Albert Ehrlick to set aside two more rows for veterans in
Section J, seconded by Lloyd Shay. Motion carried.

Chuck Rodgers stated that he and Jim are trying to come up with
ideas for fixing up the cemetery entry ways, curbs and roads. If
anyone has ideas regarding this, please let him know.
More discussion regarding the spraying of weed by Chemla~n this
spring and the caretakers hours at the cemetery.
Chuck commented that the little evergreens that were planted next
to the cemetery shop are doing well. A lot more survived than we
anticipated and it was stated that we need to have a plan for using
these trees in the future. One suggestion was that we use them for
a wind break to the north side of Section B in addition to planting
some in designated tree areas.
There being no further business to come before the committee, the
meeting was adjourned at 5:40 p.m.
Respectfully, submitted,
