made by ~lsan ar~d seconded by Ruff that the minutes be approved as read. Motion
carried.
A thank-you note from ft. H. at+~rr~tt was read.
City Clerk ~~~.fi~sd that this was the time to order a City Directory far
the Polio Dep~rtme~t. Motion was m~.d~ by pl~on and seconded by Parker that this
directory be pur~has~d at a Bost of ~35.~4. Motion earr3ed,

sed at this time so that when the plat is eo~pl~ted, and the sewer q~ae~tion i~
r~solv~d, them vrill be no d~Ia~. After discussion the Mayor tin appointed a
cam~itt~~ consisting of Bradford, Ruff and Parker to work with the City En~in~~r
~n this matter.

Minutes of the City Council of Laurel
TYie Mayor turned this matter over to the Polies Committet~, to investigate and make a recommendation to the Cot~ne3.l at the next meting.
Jim Dion a,ppear~d before the Co~ncii with a petition pro~e~ting the
fact that the Peavey Elevator had been ~i~n permission to story starplus gra3.r~
on city lots, near his property. The petition was not accepted by tie Council
bec~u~e of its wording. After len~~hy discussion, emotion was made b~? Parker and s~eonded by Ruff that in the future the City not allow $ny more gr~.in to be dwn-
ped on City prop~r~y. Motion carried.
Yovetiah asked to b~ excused to return to xork.
Thy water committee stated that the School Board r~ished to het the mat- t~r of an irrigation charge for school property ~et~led at tt~i~ time. Riff stated
that in the ab~~nee of Ga~~, the cha~.rman of the committee, it had been decided
to ek~arge the School X50.00 fc~r this ~~ar only, and that before next season comas
around the ground to be measured and charged accordingly, according to ~oota~e
available for irrigation.
Edwards again brflught up th~a sub3~~t of the property owners near the
old Baptist Chtarch ob~ecti.ng ~o the pigeons un that building .and their o~m build-
ings. 'This matter ~ho~ld b~ turned over to the Police Committee.
The Mayor asked permia~ion tca leave the stag . Motion w~ made by Ld-
wards, and seconded by Parlor, that permission b~ granted. Motion carried.
The Mayor sta~~d that there would be a Montana Municipal Lesigu~ meeti.r~g
in Livingston this year on September 9th, 1C~h, and 11th. He stated that he would
like to be allayed to go and that Ruff should gfl because he is ~ member of the
Legislative com¢nittee. He requested that the City Clerk attend al~v~ but not be
allowed the ~2(~.00~ per diems. Motion was duly made and ~ecand~d that these p~r~ons b~ allowed to go. Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Coutaeil at this aes-
sion, motion was fluly made and ~eeonded that the meeting be acl~a~rned. Motion car-
ried
