dlson that the Bond be approved. Motion carried.
Utter way re~.d the Montana Fire Rating Bureau, ~t~.~~ng that all
the tests had been made on the r~e~t Fire Truck, and urging ~,cceptarsce of this
truck. After discu~~ion~ emotion was made by R~f~ and seconded by Olac~n that the new fire tx~zek be accepted, and the warrs~.n~ in pa~rm~nt b~ issued. Motion

City Clerk a~no~nc~d that the first budget meeting would be held on
~ondap Evening at 7:00 o~clock P. M. on ~Tuly 13th. The Mayor requ~~ted that
everyone wh.o po~sibl~ can make it at~en~d this meting.
Joe ldicholas, Water Plata Superinte~dent~ ~,ppear~d before the Caun~3.1
to make a report ox~ the new chemical, Cepr3n, which is n~ being used in ~.ddi-
tion tv alum, to make the water more clear. He ~~.mo eked that certain neede~ci

Bohn W. Ed~nond~ City 3'reasurcr, ~.ppeared before the Council ~o an-
nounce his resignation ass City Trea~urer~ effective Ju1.y 31~ 19611. He stated
that he will return tc the fob he held previous to being electeel City 2re~saarer. Motion was made by 01son and seaconded bq Pa1m that this resignation be aceept~d.

The Msyor thin stated that h~ would appoint ~e~aior D~p~.ty, F'ranc~s
Fisher, to ~i11 the unexpired term of City Treasurer. Motion was made by Ruff
.and seconded by 0lsoaa that tY~e appointmeant be approved. Motio~i Qarried. City
AttArneq Bradl~;y stated that there should be a salary clarification in this
case. Part of the Council approved the regular salary of the present treasur-
er, and part did mot. Ebersvi.ller Mated that no o had even-asked the Trea- saaz°er the reason for his resignation and that there mint be somethi~ wrong
in the office and that P~1.m was chairman of this ccmnnittee. Palm ~sid that he
would have a balk with the T'rea~ur~r arui find outs arui report back at the r~xt
meeting. After diseu~sion, during which Bradley s~.ggested a motion correcting
the ~inut~~, 'motion way made by Ruff ar~el seconded by Palm that the mint~t~$ be
corrected to read that the appointment of Mrs. Fisher be made to 'be voted ors at the ne~ct meting in Jt~~:y. Motion carried.
The Mayc3r sated that there were many garbage problems and that the
slsught~rho~se and persoas~ eleaMing septic tanks were dumping at the old gar-
'~age dvYnp. Letters are to be written to the u£f~nders.
Thy Maya stated that he wo~zld like ~o appoint a committee to cond~znn
some sidewalks. After di~cusaion, it was ~u~~est~d t~a~t this problem be turned
over to the aldermen from each ward, to report on broken sidewalks, low hard
branches, eur~ aid gutters, overhanging hedges, and whateve~* other problems that
are fmund by them,

City Engineer reported on the cutting of weds.
Mayor stated that ws could all be proud of our Centennial Week.

D~pa~tm~nt about this.
Nave said that he thought that the chipping of streets should b~ done before any new pro3ee~ way startead. He paid that h~; had reported this tm the
City En~ine~r. He mentioned ~peeifically on Fifth Street f~~m Alder East.

gested to budget for some shingle. Leuthold stated th~~ a goad deal of credit
should be ~iv~n to the Fire Dep~rtment~ the Polio and the Auxiliary Police fc>r

to the Refinery.

Ebersv~.ller reported that a person in his neighborhoe~ci has a fcuca a racflor~, a rock chuck and severa3. other animals. He said tk~~t they were not
daira~ any ha~cm but h~, thought there ~ho~zld be a lieer~.se or something. Bradley
paid that them should ~ a formal complaia~t. Eber~v311er Mated that it was
~u~t the ides that they may bite s<>~eon~.
Cit;~ ~ngin~er reported that he hid been invited to ~a ~o Galleons Ohio mn t~se 20th, 21st and 22nd of Julys all expenses paid. Motion was made by ~b-

Olson stated that there were no bids on the police car received. It
was the opinion of the Council that the Police Committee should shop ground and try to came up with a recommendation.
There being n~ further business to camp before the Council at this ses-
sion, ma~ion was duly made and seconded that the meeting be adjourned.. Motion
